I had a solid 3.5-star experience. The food was great, with pepper chicken being my top pick, followed by teriyaki chicken and orange tiramisu. The broccoli chicken was also a winner. I’d definitely come back. However, the waitress’s hovering while I was leaving a tip was a bit off-putting.

We were first timers dinning in at the Chow Time Grill & Buffet located in Panama City. As we walked in I noticed the buffet was not like the ordinary buffet. Even though It was a crowd, there was a nice ambiance to this buffet. We were surprised at the huge selection of food options. They served a variety of foods hot and fresh. I loved the fried Catfish and fried Shrimp. The food was a 10 out 10. I had Apple Pie for dessert and boy oh boy, It was so delicious. I didn’t catch our Waitress name but she was totally awesome. She worked the entire station. We never had to stop her and ask for anything. She was so attentive. While this guy and another female stood in our section foundling each other. I couldn’t believe how unprofessional they were. Standing up in the middle of our section rubbing and grabbing each other as if they were guest. After about an hour inside we were stuffed. We really enjoyed our time here. The place was always clean and they kept bringing out more hot food. Customer service was top notch and the price was just right. We will return here.

Everything looked great until we tried the food. And most of it had no flavor/bland. Other food was spicy. For goodness sake crayfish is suppose to have flavor not taste like water and corn should be in butter and not over flowed with water. There wasn’t very much that actually tasted good. I was impressed with the hibachi grill where they make your food freshly cooked and oh my god it tasted great and had the right flavors I definitely tipped him. Our waiter wasn’t on top of things we had plates pilled up and he never asked us if we wanted refills on our drinks. Apparently his phone was more important than us. What a way to treat first timers. Pretty disappointed and oh my god the bathrooms were nasty. And we had to flag our waiter down for service. You should already know my recommendations on this restaurant. Like I said the food looked great and fresh but once you take a bit it is a different story. Beware all my 2 million follwers.

Great time. Reasonable rates. My family of three enjoyed all the awesome.food we could eat. Food ranging from spare ribs to golden fried sea food. I even had a beer. And the grand total was under $60 and I think including my $10 tip. I was quite pleased and so was the wife who is a ruthless judge of restaurants. Pick Chow Time. Enjoy yourselves in this crazy economy.

The food is great but throughout out meal we could hear the servers laughing about customers tips and talking bad about them
Naturally when it came time to pay I didnt tip and one of our servers, we had 3 different people, asked multiple people in my group for a tip

Their food is okay… my kids and i have eaten here a couple of times. It’s our closest spot when we’re looking for a variety of foods. The ambiance is my least favorite.

Nice pleasant place to eat, a good variety of food. The only thing I would change is the way they have their buffet set up. Im allergic to seafood and it they had it spread amongst the buffet bars, they should have all the seafood on one table. There were some things I wanted to try but they were beside seafood and I was worried about cross contamination. Other then that its a very nice place to eat.

We arrived for lunch about 30 minutes after they opened. All the food was delicious – fresh and hot. The salad bar was also excellent, ice cold veggies and great variety. My parents had the hibachi bowl and was also very good. So many items to choose from – something for everyone! Staff were very friendly and attentive. This was our first visit to Chow Time – we’ll definitely be back. Great value for the $$

Great selection of Chinese, seafood and even steak. Not to mention a huge sushi selection, and hibachi selections for the grill. Price is great, even for the drinks. Huge place, looks fairly clean but not spotless. The service is just okay. After being seated and given our drinks our server came back twice to take plates away, never asked if we wanted refills until we were ready to leave. The servers stand together waiting for the next table. I did observe a young male server waving cash in what he thought was a bad tip, carried on about it with two other servers for some time. That has no place in front of customers. The food looks better than it taste. Lots of near empty or empy bin, much of it not that warm as it should be. I doubt we’ll give it another try.
