The service for a walk in was prompt. My barista scanned my gift card with a smile on her face, and I sat in two comfortable and cozy high backed chairs with a small table in between them.
Before I knew it my drink was ready. And I looked around at people enjoying their drinks, having conversation, and I took a sip of my refresher. And it was made flawlessly. I smiled as I walked out that door. Because I LOVE having a positive experience at a local coffee shop. And this is one I am definitely going back to. And I would most certainly recommend it to anyone in the area that enjoys Starbucks products!
The décor strikes the perfect balance between rustic charm and modern coziness. Sunlight pours in through large windows, casting a golden glow over wooden tables and plush armchairs. The walls, adorned with local art, add a personal and creative touch that makes you feel part of a community the moment you sit down.
Of course, the star here is the coffee. Every cup feels like it’s brewed with care and passion. The baristas are not only skilled but genuinely enthusiastic, happy to chat about bean origins or suggest a brew to match your mood. My cappuccino was smooth, velvety, and topped with a delicate leaf of latte art that made me smile before the first sip. Alongside it, I tried a flaky almond croissant—light, buttery, and utterly divine.
What truly sets this café apart is the atmosphere. Whether you’re here for a quick morning pick-me-up, an afternoon of reading, or a casual meeting with friends, it feels like time slows down. The soft background music and subtle buzz of conversation create a comforting backdrop, making it easy to linger.
In a world that often rushes by, this café offers a gentle reminder to pause, savor, and appreciate life’s small joys. Each visit feels like a warm hug in a cup, and I leave with a lighter heart every time. If you’re looking for a place that serves not only great coffee but also a generous pour of positivity, this is it.
Working the morning “rush hour” at Starbucks has to be an absolute gong show, especially with mostly highly-customized orders both in-person and in the app. When I walked in to pick up my app order at 8:30ish this morning, there seemed to be a relatively long line at the counter and several people waiting for food. (My guess is that they were understaffed, but who knows.)
Instead of devolving into more chaos, the workers quickly and calmly pivoted to address the backlog, and when I came back 10 minutes later, everything was running smoothly again. They apologized for the wait (which was realistically no more than an extra minute or two), and cheerfully told me to ‘have a nice day’.
I mention this because there’s a lot of talk these days about how customer service has slipped, and in situations like this, you might see staffers arguing or even getting snippy with impatient, high-maintenance customers. These kids (sorry for showing my age here) handled themselves really well under pressure and should be recognized for that.
One final note in this novel (sorry), props to my fellow customers, who even as they waited, were courteous and respectful to people doing their best to meet high expectations quickly in a difficult customer service job. Most of us have ‘been there’ before, and it doesn’t go unnoticed!
