After waiting about 45 minutes and seeing several customers walk in, order, and get their food before me, I simply walked out and never got the food that I ordered.
It was terrible service, and it was like my order had just been forgotten. No staff came to tell me what was going on. Hopefully something can be done to address it.
Great healthy food options with acai bowls, protein shakes, pitaya bowls, gourmet toasts and greek yogurt bowls
The service was quick. Food is tasty and healthy. Store is clean. Overall a great healthy must try
The staff has often seemed disengaged or unfriendly in the past, but I’ve looked past that due to the convenience and quality of the food. However, during my recent visit, I placed my order, was told my total, and tapped my card to pay. I waited until the screen confirmed “approved” and then walked away — the employee had already walked away after giving me the total, so there was no further interaction at the register.
About 10 minutes later, I received a phone call from Protein Foundry. The employee claimed my card had declined and demanded a new payment method. I calmly explained that I had seen the transaction approved on my end. I then checked my bank account while on the phone and confirmed the $14.04 charge had gone through under “Protein Foundry 10/13/25.” Despite this, the employee was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional, saying things like, “Well it doesn’t show on our end, but I’m not going to sit and argue with you about it — enjoy your FREE bowl.”
I even offered to provide my card again or send a screenshot to confirm the charge. She refused both, saying “No, I don’t want to charge you again either. If the bank statement shows it went through, then it must be fact” and sarcastically told me to enjoy the bowl, implying I was being dishonest.
What’s most upsetting is not the confusion around the payment — technical errors happen — but the accusatory tone, lack of customer service, and the complete disregard for the fact that I’ve been a long-term, paying customer. I was treated with suspicion and disrespect, despite doing nothing wrong. I waited for the payment to approve before leaving, and the employee had already walked away before I tapped my card.
At the end of the call, she acknowledged she may need to be more attentive and not walk away during transactions — which only confirmed this error was on her end, not mine. Although admitting that, putting responsibility back onto me to be more attentive to the transaction before walking away – which I was, more than she was! I never walk away from paying without seeing it say “approved”.
This interaction was the final straw. Not only is Protein Foundry overpriced, but the atmosphere and service have been consistently lacking. I will not be returning, and I will be sharing this experience with others.
Only ordered inside once. Good service. Others have been DoorDashed but taste the same
Unsure why this is difficult for them when we give our business to them on a weekly basis and by no means is this place cheap.
This place used to be good but it’s ran by a bunch of teenagers who don’t care about customer service or protocols. The place is a mess, people have attitudes when THEY get your order wrong (gosh forbid I ask for the right order I paid for you have an attitude when it’s your mistake and end up needing to fix it)
What happened here? Why are a bunch of teenagers in charge when clearly they can’t manage the place.
