SADLY, I had to come back and change it to 2 stars. I am keeping (below) what I originally wrote the first time we visited when I gave it 5 stars for that first visit. As per that review, I mentioned that we would be back to eat there again. Well we tried! We arrived 45 minutes before they were to close on a Wednesday evening. The restaurant was empty. Our same waiter from before greeted us on entry and immediately told us that it was just him and the cook and that they were closing at 6pm so they could not serve us. We were shocked quite frankly! He didn’t even know what we were going to order!! What if we were ordering just a soda? Who refuses business when they’re trying to get established and build a customer base? Who tells you they cannot serve you 45 minutes before closing? Sam & Ella’s! We will not be back and will not recommend this restaurant to anyone. See below for the review on our first visit:
We were hungry for some pizza and thought we would try Sam & Ella’s since they were recommended. We were greeted on arrival and seated in a booth. Instantly, we noticed and liked, the hip vibes of this restaurant. It was a clean establishment and the overhead music was pleasant and not overbearing. We ordered a large half cheese/half pepperoni pizza and I added a side salad for myself. After chatting with our waiter we found out that everything is made fresh daily. The proof of course would be in the pizza and salad. We love good pizza! My salad arrived a bit later than what I would have liked but it was worth it! This was no wimpy, wilted, one lettuce bowl…..this salad was packed with fresh veggies, Romaine and Spinach leaves. It was crisp and fresh with a side of garlic toast. Then the pizza arrived……now folks this is a PIZZA PIE! The crust was hand rolled with a light crisp crunch on the outside and soft baked to perfection on the inside. It had oodles of melted mozzarella cheese so the weight of a slice ….well let’s just say grab yourself a fork! It is a lot of pizza. Our party consisted of 3 adults and a 10 year old. There was not a slice left. It was that good. The salad too! With that said we were a bit disappointed that they did not offer chicken wings on their menu. They state they are the chicken palace so we made the assumption. Hopefully, that is in the works. We did ask about weekly specials however, as of now they do not offer any. While prices are a bit above average, they are worth it. The ambience , the fresh prepared food, and the great staff….yep, we will be back!

The young lady who served my friend and I was amazing…very friendly and really took care of us. It took quite a long time to get our pizza, but it was good…..not great, but not bad.
While trying to eat, there were flies everywhere!! The flies would land on us, our table, and buzz around us; the entire time we were eating!! And it wasn’t just one or two flies; it was like 10 or more….and they were big flies. Absolutely disgusting.
We ordered 2 side salads, 2 drinks and one large pizza and it was over $50 dollars! Thank goodness I didn’t bring my whole family; quite an expensive place to eat.

Got some pizza here for dinner. I got a large pepperoni, and a large supreme was about $54. It’s a pretty good-sized pizza, but kind of pricey. The pizza was decent and had a lot of cheese on it. Too much for some people. Probably won’t go back, but it’s a possibility. Give it a try if you like really cheesey pizzas.

OMG. Absolutely delicious pizza. Can’t say one negative thing about this place, except that there should be more people here. I live in Tulsa and I’d drive here JUST for this pizza. I ordered the Sunrise pizza and added mushrooms and bacon. I haven’t been this satisfied with a pizza in a long time! Very clean, love the atmosphere and they’re super friendly.

The young lady (Julia) that served us tonight was absolutely fantastic and a little shy. It might’ve had something to do with it being. Her first day and we were her first table. The pizzas we had were absolutely great. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was even better. Ask for Julia and tip her well. 07/17/25

Pizza was absolutely amazing. We had a build your own and another one (I don’t remember) for myself and my two teen boys. We had plenty to take home.

My only negative was we had to waive our waitress down a few times for drinks and you had to pay extra for ranch.

Our bill was $72 plus tip. Bit high for just two pies but they were very good, so that helped. They do charge for ranch, which I can see both side of the coin on. But it’s Oklahoma.

Atmosphere was great. Neat old building.

Overall, we’ll come back when we’re in the area, but we might bring or own ranch.

Best Pizza and salad I’ve had since moving to NE Oklahoma. 5⭐️ Placing your order is a little odd, you must go up to and kitchen area to order and it just felt a little off.

BUT definitely not going to stop me from coming back again and again.

When arriving at the restaurant we were told to grab the menu’s from the host stand and seat ourselves, the first table we sat down at was dirty and the waitress said it was dirty when she arrived. Considering it was lunch after opening you’d think she’d cleaned it by then. Then we proceeded to wait for over 5 minutes for me to make myself be seen for the waitress to take our drink order. When ordering our small pizza and appetizer she took 10 minutes to give the cook our order and returned 3 times to the table to verify what we ordered.. shortly after she let us know our appetizer was almost out we hear a crash and her saying she dropped it. And I’m almost positive the same thing happened with our pizza. We waited over and hour for small order when they were not busy.. while we at the table a bug crawled across it not sure what kind, but we will not be back.

In reading other reviews we were unsure about stopping here but we were so glad we did. Great and fast service. The food was wonderful. The cheese on the pizza looked like something from a commercial. Go support this small business if you get the chance. You will be glad you did.

I grew up eating at Sam and Ella’s and aways liked their pizza, but paying $37 for ONE pizza and two small ranch cups for take out is just crazy. The food still tastes good, but the prices have gotten out of hand. It’s disappointing because this used to be one of my favorite places in small town Pryor, but I won’t be back at those prices.
