Good gawd that is an amazing burger! We decided to try this place for a casual birthday dinner and the food is epic! We sat inside and the seating was a bit cramped. We had the HAM burger and the B&B burger both with fries. The patties were perfectly cooked and had a very good flavor, the bacon was great and complimented the veggie topping. The fries were a pleasant surprise, the seasoning was great and cooked perfectly. I am definitely coming back more often and I very much recommend the burgers!!

Friends and neighbors have for some time now urged me to try Hill Station. It’s in my neighborhood and I pass it frequently, but somehow until today, when friends we were meeting for lunch suggested we meet there, I hadn’t tried it.
I enjoyed the lunch there. Our wait person could not have been nicer and more helpful, a real gem. This was in contrast to the person who greeted me when I walked in, the first of the party, who made eye contact with me but then resumed talking to someone else, never saying he’d be right with me. It’s really important to let customers, especially new ones, know they’re seen and welcomed.
I like the airiness of the spacious inside dining room. The high ceilings with “breaks” (rectangles) in them seem designed to cut down on noise, and I found the place refreshingly quiet, an easy place to carry on a four-way conversation. The high windows letting in lots of light are another nice touch.
The food: a mixed bag, we thought. My spouse’s Reuben was good, he said. My club sandwich had too much bread (I know: club sandwich) — thickly sliced bread. I ended up removing two slices of the bread and eating it as an open-faced sandwich. It was okay, but not the most interesting club I’ve ever had. The side salad that came with it was enormous, and I ended up taking most of it home. It was good.
I also ordered an appetizer of pimento cheese, and it was good, an ample dish of it and lots of slightly toasted baguette slices to go with it. French fries that came with my spouse’s sandwich were well-fried and tasty. Hubby’s brother says he recently had an outstanding veggie burger there. So my club experience may have been a fluke and exception….
All in all, this is a place I’d recommend. I’m glad to see it occupying the site of a former filling station and car-repair place in the center of the shopping and business part of our neighborhood. I’ll recommend it to others.

I visited here for lunch with my sister, when it opened. My sister has an hour for lunch so we were hoping this place would be efficient with it just opening for the day, only 2 other tables, and what seemed like a lot of staff walking around. I ordered the meat & cheese platter and she ordered the club sandwich. The sandwich got out at a decent time but the platter (which is normally served as an app) got out very late. Took around 40 mins to get it. The server was very nice but very soft spoken so it was a little difficult to hear her but when she noticed I hadn’t gotten my food she immediately went to go check on it. She came back to inform me that they had to go across the street to get the mustard sauce for the platter and that they’re working on it now. By the time it came out, I had to box it up because my sister needed to get back to work. I’m thankful she was able to at least enjoy her lunch. I wouldn’t recommend coming here for lunch. Really slow service, very loud environment as they had some sort of machinery running in their outdoor fridge or storage area, and lack of drink refills. Also we were sat at one of the only tables in the patio that had severe paint/metal chipping on it so we kind of avoided putting our arms on the table because if you moved them the wrong way, you will scrap your arm on it. I will probably come back to try the Sunday Brunch, as that had some delicious options but that’s about it. For those that want to bring their fur babies, the large outdoor patio is pet friendly (leash required). I’d say only come here in late afternoon/evening and possibly their Sunday Brunch.

The pastries were delicious!!! The pastry chef Joe took his time to come to the table and tell us all about them! He’s going to bake my daughter’s birthday cake which I’m super excited for. The food, A-1 I definitely enjoyed every bit especially the chorizo sauce on burrito. Bartender Alex was a gem so sweet and the drinks were phenomenal. It’s so refreshing visiting local spots and getting wonderful service

Really nice outside area when the weather is good. Tons of seating. Can’t smoke though.
Beers are all around $7. I had breakfast tacos for brunch that was pretty good. Flour tortillas. Nicely warmed. Could have used more stuffing, but all in all pretty good.

The menu was pretty simple but very gourmet. The Tuna Poké Nacho was quite tasty… great flavor. The Duck Wings tasted good. The Italian Grind was good … good choice of bread and the right amount of flavor. The Turkey Reuben was good but was very dry.. The prices were high for what you get…. just 4 Duck Wings and they were just good. The waitress was very good attentive and cheerful made the experience great. So at the end I enjoyed the place but didn’t find it a destination spot. It’s a great neighborhood place. It was a pricy picnic table setting. I hoped to have craved to go back … but couldn’t find one thing to go back … well maybe the Tuna Poké Nacho

The chef pastry at Hill Station is excellent. He shared information about his pastries table-side as they’re unavailable on the menu. We selected one of each: a zeppole (likened to an Italian cream puff) and name unknown (with espresso martini cream, coffee liqueur, and toasted hazelnuts). SO GOOD! They were light and fluffy as he described. Both were rich and sweet, too—a perfect treat and addition to your meal. When I go back, I hope he’s there with something new to try!
Excuse my post-tasting photos—the pastries were so good, I just knew I had to leave a review.

Went on a Friday night, long wait for the patio so we sat at the bar. Service was OK. We started with some cocktails and the BA salad (forgot the photo). The blackberry bourbon cocktail was underwhelming. The hog and cake was pretty good, but maybe a but too heavy as both the pork and the grits are fried. The brick pressed prosciutto sandwich was also pretty good, maybe a little too much bread, but it had good flavor. The fries were over salted and tasted like old frying oil. It seems like a fun place and I would go back for the atmosphere and to try a milkshake, maybe not for the food.

Hill Station is the best thing to happen to Hillcrest since I moved to Little Rock. The food and the cocktails hit perfect note every time. We’re lucky to have a fun and funky place with an amazing outdoor patio. Just the best.
