TL:DR
Creative menu, almost all great! Get any of the loaded fries options! (Pro Tip: Tell them you don’t want your burger well done. Otherwise, it will be dry.)
Details:
Came at lunch time on a Tuesday. Not too crowded, and not very noisy. It has much more room inside than I expected.
Counter staff was friendly, and they checked up on us several times during the meal.
The only negative was the burger my friend got – it was very dry, not worth finishing. The positives were many, including an awesome turkey sandwich and some delicious sides.
But the highlight for everyone were the loaded fries. There are many options, and we each got a different one. They were all loaded with delicious meats, cheeses, and sauces. We loved them all.
Didn’t have room for dessert, but the milkshakes sounded delicious! We’ll be back next time we come this direction!
The fried pickles tasted like fish, like they were fried in cheap oil that hasn’t been changed for a long time. It also seemed like they were pre-fried because they came out super fast and weren’t oily or hot like you’d expect from freshly fried food. Extremely salty as well. I ate one and that’s all I could stomach.
My husband got a burger which he said was okay, it was edible but not great. The fries also tasted like the same old oil that the pickles were fried in. Everything had a distinct fishy flavor.
Literally couldn’t eat the food which almost never happens, even if food isn’t great I’ll still eat it but this was inedible. Left the food and went to a different spot. $30 down the drain.
Also the girls at the front were not friendly and unhelpful.
Fries – Can not be cold and soggy
Nacho with cheese – should cheese melt?!
Food taste – 9/10 (Food is flavorful and balanced.)
Service – 0/10 (one employee showed concern to the cold food problem and vowed to correct it, but never did. Others were busy answering phone and catering to the customer in their immediate vicinity. Thus, were not interested in customer satisfaction.
It May not be the best strategy to ask “How is everything” after customer is sharing cold food concern).
This place is a house converted into a restaurant. Do expect crowded situation during peek hours and holidays. So, how can those instructions written on “Notice” placard can be adhered to, is a good question. You be the judge.
Parking can be a potential challenge. They do have limited outdoor seating (good during pandemic times).
They have different hand-written menu which they should post.
Will definitely be back. The staff seemed nice too.
