The food is excellent southern cooking. There is something here for everyone, not just seafood. The fried chicken was my favorite item on the buffet and the meatloaf was very good as well. The dessert are good and there is a lot to choose from. I liked the coconut cake.

The best seafood buffet I have ever seen! This place was packed but there is a lot of parking for everyone. Huge dining areas and attentive staff. Will absolutely be back in the future. This beauty just rose from the ashes of a fire within a year. We wish them all the best!

We had the fried chicken, salad, hush puppies and onion rings. Everything was quite delicious, except the onion rings which were not quite cooked. The chicken was tender and flavorful, the hush puppies were yummy. The server was quite attentive. Do be forewarned this restaurant only takes cash. A good family restaurant and the price is right.

Including drink and dessert. They also have individual plates you can get. The salt and pepper catfish was magnificent. The flounder was perfect and fresh…it was all very good!

This place is a “diamond in the rough”. We enjoyed immensely . If you love nostalgia and good ” down home” cooking, you will love this place. Family owned business for over 60 years. There is a Buffet for $15.00 that’s has seafood as well as all the other dishes normally served on a Buffet. Price includes buffet, salads, soups, desserts, drinks and taxes. All you can eat! All good. You may also order from extensive menu.

A favorite of mine. I order from the menu because I like broiled seafood. I rotate between shrimp, scallops or combo plates.. A salad with dessert is included. The buffet usually has great choices and my husband like to get it. Last time we visited he got grilled salmon and it was delicious. The staff is usually very attentive and always friendly and helpful. FYI, they don’t accept credit cards but they have an ATM on-site. They have a separate room for larger groups. There are two separate entrances & three dining rooms. Lots of interesting decor. Enjoy!

My mouth is watering just looking back at my own photos of this restaurant. I rode my motorcycle to Morrow Mountain near Albemarle, NC, I needed to get some lunch so my friend and I opted to try this place sight unseen. We had never been to Jay’s Seafood Restaurant before. Had never heard of it. We rode from Fort Bragg, NC that day. Well, we were amazed at how much food they had and how fast they could replace it on the buffett. I saw the restaurant on Google Maps but, I did not realize that it was a buffet.
Hot fish, hot shrimp, hot peach cobbler. Cool strawberry shortcake, ice cream on top of everything else. I had stew beef and rice, country ham, fried chicken, biscuits, and more fish.
Anyone reading this should just go ahead and check their hours on Google Maps then head on over there. For a very low price, you eat till your heart’s content. Better food and service cannot be found in the Albemarle, NC area!!
