The food was very good indeed – testament to Anita-Clare’s intent to serve only fresh produce using a limited menu. We applaud that! The wine was sensibly priced, again from a limited list which makes perfect sense. Don’t expect french portions though; these are quite substantial!
Our one minor complaint: although the ambiance of the restaurant was very pleasant, we were rather cold!

Ordered large lasagnes (3 meat and 1 veg) for a large group of us staying at a nearby local farm and they were absolutely gorgeous. Anita was really helpful and so responsive. Really recommend for anyone looking for a special meal-at-home idea.

Anita-Claire and her team are exceptional! We were lucky enough to visit last weekend and enjoyed a fabulous 3 course meal. Each one of our party of 4 throughly enjoyed every mouthful of our meal, from the delicate crab tartlets, melt-in-the-mouth beef wellington to the abundant moule frites and decadent chocolate fondant. Had the most wonderful meal here with friends last night. La Petite Bouchee has the whole package, fantastic food, wonderful atmosphere and impeccable, warm and friendly service. I can not recommend this place enough.
You have to pre order your food, which is not a problem, it just means you know it has been prepared properly with time and love and this shows when it appears – a feast to the eye and the taste buds.
