Stopped in at Scores on 33rd in Cedar Rapids and had an all-around great time! The beer was ice cold, just the way it should be, and the service was absolutely terrific from start to finish.
The ladies working were dressed up for Halloween, full of personality, and made sure everyone was having a good time. You could tell they genuinely enjoyed being there and they definitely put a smile on my face. Big shout out to the owner and management team for building a culture that made the ladies working know they are valued and important to the restaurants success. You can tell the servers and bartenders loved their job. That is not by mistake, thats leadership coaching that attitude. Good job!!!
I tried the wings, which were decent (I’ve had better), but what really stood out was the staff and management. When I asked if they could switch the TVs and play the World Series audio, they did it right away with no hesitation. That kind of customer-first attitude earns big points with me.
All in all, great service, cold beer, and good vibes. I’ll definitely be back! ⚾

We just need to come more often. Wings have the right crunch and flavor. Curds are always perfect. Nice selection of beers. Our waitress was amazing. Service was fast. Great sports bar with lots of space for a huge group.

Good experience for us on a Thursday night just after the dinner rush. We chose this place because it was close to our hotel. I went with Sheet Nachos (with steak), my wife had the Grilled Cheese, and my son had the jumbo Hot Dog. I had the Easy Eddy IPA, which was very good on tap. Our food came out in a timely manner and was fresh, hot, and exactly as ordered. On the nachos I got steak, and the type of steak is the same used for a Philly cheese steak. The fries were really really good too! For dessert my son got the Cookie Dough Birthday Cake…super good as well but super rich.
Overall service was good. Tano was our server and he was super helpful with the menu and made some good recommendations. There is something to be said about doing the routine things routinely, so I really appreciated that!
I would recommend this place for good bar food, tvs, drinks, and atmosphere. If we are in town again, we will likely stop by!

This place looks expensive but it’s not! Plenty of TVs, kids games, a pool table and children’s menus. The waitress got both things I ordered wrong, which was kinda funny. (They were like 20 something years old, so ya know ) Other than that, it was great. Really clean too! My only regret is I ate the crayons that came with my kids coloring page. Sorry scores…my bad…

We came here to watch the Super Bowl because it’s a sports bar… and there is hardly no sound! I feel so robbed. The owner said the volume is turned up all the way, but you can’t even hear what they are saying! I will never want watch tub another game here, and it totally sucks that I had to find this out on the Super Bowl

We tried the appetizer Fire Cracker Chicken Cream Cheese Twists they were out of this world yummy. Then we both ordered chicken tenders. They were golden brown and seasoned to perfection. They were scrumptious white meat no scrimping there. I had the jalapeno creamed corn. The bowl was full to the top but I was hungry and dug in then remembered I should take pictures. That was delicious. I actually ate that first. My husband’s totes were also golden brown and tasted great.
Our only mistake was going in during the women’s Hawkeye basketball game as we are not huge sports fans and during the game you felt like you were in a movie theater. It was super loud. On the bright side, I finally saw a Hawkeye women’s basketball game and they won. LOL! There were only a couple of tables in there and they were having a lot of fun. Mind you it is a sports bar that’s what’s supposed to be going on in there. So while it may seem like I’m complaining, I am not just stating facts. After the game they turned down the TVs and put on some pleasant music.
The waitress was very pleasant and as we were climbing into our truck my husband had forgotten his leftovers and she came running out with them which was so super sweet.
I will definitely go back.

Scores is a traditional bar which feels huge, no frills and visited by locals making it a fun visit for travellers

Polite and as expected, what I like was we got no better or worse service than locals. There was no frills just super polite efficient service.
Food
It’s bar food no frills and we did wings and chips, tasty for sure but not a ‘ you must try’ experience. But as stated this is a local bar no frills so no disappointment here portions large and at a reasonable price

It is a relaxed local bar with nice background music The people were polite and it was easy to strike up a conversation with locals (or not). So for me it was perfect!

I’ve been here 5-6 times. The food is always good. The bartenders and other staff need realize people can understand Spanish, and when they talk about explicit and intimate facts about their personal lives, and speak negatively about the other customers in the restaurant is not good in any language. I will not be coming back.

We were just looking for a place to eat and decided to stop here because it was close to our hotel and we were presently surprised how nice this place was. They have a very good beer selection and a great menu with something for everyone with a ton of TV’s so everyone can see the game. If you’re passing through this is definitely worth a stop.
