The mixed fish and meat platters are very delicious. One platter is enough for two, and the price is totally reasonable.
The octopus was amazing as well. Personally, I just did not really like the desserts.
What I also love about this restaurant is that they don’t try to feed you a lot of sides.
The portions are good, so you only get a bit of potato, which is perfect in my opinion.
It can be quite full, so better get here early. The restaurant itself is packed, but the staff does everything to make it a pleasant experience.
It is a must-visit if you are in Lisbon.
The whole dining experience made the town itself feel unique, peaceful, and full of local character. If you ever come here, I highly recommend trying this restaurant, and I hope to introduce more people to discover this special place.
We arrived around 2:50 pm and were welcomed in by the staff. We sat down and ordered immediately. At that point, we were informed that there was no squid and no octopus available. We understood and followed the waiter’s recommendation to order the mixed fish instead.
However, the problem started when the dish arrived. The mixed fish plate contained duplicate fish, and we were not informed of this beforehand. There were no sardines and no black fish included, which we only realised and being told when the plate was served in front of us..
If we had been told earlier that certain fish were unavailable, we could have chosen a different option, declined the dish, or left. Instead, we paid €17 for what was essentially salmon fillets, which made us feel disappointed and misled as customers.
On top of that, the fish was not really hot when served, which added to the disappointment, especially given how highly rated this shop is.
Clear communication and food quality would have made a big difference to this experience.
It’s a must to try all thier food. They were out of sardines when we got there. We also tried their white bean soup and cabbage it was delicious
The balance between price and quality is excellent, and the house white wine was amazing.
Highly recommend this place!
