We were here for my 40th class reunion (MHS Class of 85!). It’s a good venue for receptions and banquets. One one side is a large room with open area for band/dancing, and the other side is the banquet/dining area. There’s a great deck just off the dance floor, with rockers, tables, and chairs, and a wonderful lake view.

If you knew before hand that it would have been a long wait, the review would have been better. That said. The food was very good. We had the lobster, corn, and Cole slaw. The service was great one you get b into b the dining area, but you wait buy in the bar area until your table is ready. Would eat their again and my review would better.

I have been travelling to this region of Maine for sometime now. One thing I have learned when you are in a community with this restaurant is all people considered family The food here is spectacular. I have come to know the owner and his family… They cook to perfection and they care about their customers. That’s all there is to it. So if you want good food with great personalities I recommend this restaurant it accepts all ages in its functioning go to place especially during the snowmobile season. Hope to see you there.

Sat out on the patio and had a very enjoyable meal. What was best about the night is that we didn’t have to MOVE! I think the set up of staying seated was WAY better than moving form room to room, so you could order extra appetizers and drinks and your meal as well. I would frequent more often if this set up was considered for full time. I realize that it’s different without the patio (seasonally), but given the choice for seating choices, this was preferred by my family!!

Tried this place for the first time today, and it was a bad experience. As others have mentioned, they put you in the loud lounge for drinks and appetizers. We had a smoked salmon appetizer which was pretty good — a bit dry, but otherwise, good. Unfortunately, after our iced tea and appetizer, our dinner order had still not been taken. I think we were there for 45 minutes before our order was even taken! I guess they wanted us to just drink up, but we’re tee-total, so that wasn’t going to happen. FINALLY, after about 75 minutes, we got seated in the dining room for our meal. I didn’t even get a chance to put my napkin on my lap, and my food was in front of my face. The meal, to me at least, was rather mediocre. The ribs were not “fall off the bone,” were burnt, and rather salty. Plus, they were spare ribs and not baby back ribs — I guess that was my fault as they did not specify on the menu. The ribs and my hubby’s seafood platter came with a small ear of corn which was SO overcooked, it was like biting into mush. Hubby reported that his seafood was good. The only redeemable thing about this place is the view — it is really quite lovely.

Service was poor as we ended up with 5 difference waitress’ helping us or not helping us as the case was. I ordered the pressure fried chicken. Smaller pieces were over cooked, huge amount of oil left on my plate and fries tasted like the oil need changing in the fryer, so much salt in everything I needed water as soon as i finished. View from the table was amazing.
