We’ve had several breakfast here, which were delicious. Then we order a delivery of their Fish Fry – they were great!! The fish was large and delicious. All the sides were great. Highly recommend the green beans, masher potatoes and French fries. Salads were also good. We have loved everything from here

Went here for breakfast. Can’t go wrong at the Metro. Ordered Shrimp and grits, along with the holiday chicken and waffles.
Shrimp and Grits was good with a lot of shrimp. In this version there was thinly sliced red pepper that see like it was too much. But that was my preference. Still worth trying.
The chicken and waffles was novel. There was stuffing folded into the waffle mix. Once baked, the waffle was sweet and savory.
Service was great. Worth going.

Thank you to Sean at Metro Diner for making my pickup order experience great! I was picking up a special lunch order for my team in recognition of Employee Appreciation, and Sean took the extra time to make sure everything was perfect. He double-checked that the order was correct and made sure I had extra utensils, condiments, and everything we needed.
That level of service really stands out. It meant a lot to me because this was something special I was doing for my team, and Sean helped make sure it went smoothly.
Thank you again! Although I didn’t get pictures of the food this time, everything was amazing. I will definitely be back and will take pictures next time. Please check them out—you won’t be disappointed

First time eating there and it wasn’t a good vibe. It didn’t feel inviting. It felt like I was stepping back into time with the decor.
My waitress was very knowledgeable about what was on the menu, today’s specials, and so forth but after that, the ball was dropped horribly. I sat at the counter where all the wait staff passed by but for 7 minutes, no one refilled my tea, asked if everything was okay, or asked if I needed anything. With more than half my food still on the plate, (not being able to wash it down), one waitress asked if I was done and I asked if I could get my ticket.
I know these things happen from time to time, no hard feelings or anything and I only hope that if I am ever in the area again, and stop in for a bite, the service will be better.
The cheese eggs I did not touch as I specifically asked if the cheese was cooked in the eggs or just sprinkled on top and I was assured that the cheese was cooked in the eggs. I like scrabbled eggs with cheese not cheese topped eggs. My seating was at table C4 on 10/10/25 at around 9AM.

Ciarra C. provided us with great service! My husband and I had several questions about portion sizes and she was 100% honest with us. We both took her recommendations and they were spot on! The chicken and waffles was so good 🙂
Their cocktails/Bloody Mary’s/Mimosas are about $5-6, we didn’t even know they served alcoholic beverages

We visited Metro Diner for the first time yesterday for the specialty pancake big breakfast. The restaurant was clean and family-friendly; the staff were pleasant, attentive, energetic and knowledgeable about the menu. The biscuits were excellent and the chicken and waffles looked REALLY good. However, we were in a pancake mood and were displeased with our order. The pleasant waitress delivered our plates apologizing and embarrassed about the two thin, small pancakes she placed before us. She commented that they were usually large and fluffy saying she’d she’d place another order for us. The syrup poured like water. While waiting, we ate the scrambled eggs hash browns and biscuits that came with our platter. They were fine. However, the bacon was limp and undercooked. The replacement pancakes arrived- no different from the first batch! We asked to see the manager who arrived pleasant and apologetic offering they had a new cook. I suggested adding more flour to the batter or making them with the waffle batter. We noticed waffles at surrounding tables looked marvelous! She discounted the food giving us each $15 coupons off next orders. We will revisit for the chicken and waffles hoping that yesterday was just an off day for the Metro Diner.
