I was so disappointed!!!!!!
First it took about an hour for my food to come. I totally get it that they were crowded they seated me very early and brought me a menu and some beverage. I waited about an hour for my food there were no apologies and the food to be honest ,was not good at all.
The catfish was barely warm and was poor quality ,also the greens were barely warm and taste OLD the rest of the food was cold they’re noted for bringing you hot biscuits and cornbread that that didn’t happen I was brought two little hard pieces of cornbread muffins, with my meal.The food with the one piece of fish is what I brought home and no I didn’t eat it. I just hate to see food wasted! I also had Mac and Cheese. Cold and not real cheese!

We were seated and it was quite a while before we had to ask to place our order. The manager came over and apologized that the waitress went home sick. Service was then fine when we were added to another server with the manager helping out. Food was good but the usually great bisquets were a little under done. The soup on the menue was not available. It did seem to be a very busy Saturday.

I have not even received my order yet. Upon arriving I had to stand for several minutes as their was no hostess and the manager literally looked at men and called someone rather than me herself considering there were lots of places for me to sit and they had no wait. Upon being fitted I am told the machine for fries chicken is broken and they do not have mashed potatoes and gravy. Then my drinks come and both glasses are grittybut my food did arrive timely but not as hot as I would have expected. This will be my last time visiting this particular cracker barrel, fortunately I know cracker barrel can do a lot better My waiter was probably my only bright spot and bc of her i gave 3 stars on service.

I took my Grandma here for Valentine’s Day. We dined in the Waitress did a pretty good job and the Manager was going around checking on folks. When we got our food it was good. the turnips greens was a little to plain for me but everything was pretty good. We had to wait about 45 minutes on the food after we ordered it but it was Valentine’s so I’m guessing they was kind of busy. all in all it was a pretty good experiance. We also got a to go order for my dad the Blackened Rainbow Trout.

We were seated by hostess Melissa who was very sweet in the middle section. We sat for at least five minutes until the young server came. She brought no napkins or silverware. We asked for coffee and extra creamer. Shortly she returned and waited on another table, then looked over at us and then came back with two cups and poured out what was the last of the coffee, but never brought our creamer.
When Melissa was seating another couple, I called for her and told we haven’t yet received any silverware or creamer. Immediately Melissa returned with our creamer and silverware, but our coffee was lukewarm, so Melissa went back and brought back hot coffee.
Our waitress asked for our order and walked away. I observed her shortly afterwards bringing food to another table, then leave and return with some silverware for that table.
Melissa kept a watchful eye for our order. When the order was ready, Melissa brought it out to us, then returned because my biscuits and gravy was not with my order.
After finishing our breakfast, the young waitress came to check on us, then said she will get our ticket and we asked for a take-out tray. Shortly she brought our ticket, but no take-out tray. I repeated to her we needed a take-out tray and she brought one back.
During this particular visit, the hostess made sure we were very well taken care of. Because of Melissa’s kindness and her apologies for this waitress’s performance, we gave Melissa a very good tip, and told her, that this is not to be shared with anyone else.
The young girl who waited on us, never told us her name, and her name badge was turned around so no one could see it. She did not receive a tip.
We have visited this location many times. This is the first time we received poor service. Normally we are seated in the section where Janet (who was off this day) who is one of the best waitresses.
We will be back, but I will make sure we are seated with a experienced server who knows how to take care of the customers.

Corporate did reach out regarding my review. While I appreciate the response, this experience was part of a pattern over several visits involving limited food availability, long wait times, and lack of in-store resolution. I hope the Tupelo location addresses these ongoing concerns quickly.
I used to love, love Cracker Barrel, which is why this is so disappointing.
We’ve eaten at the Cracker Barrel in Tupelo, MS several times recently, and each visit has been worse due to them being out of food. We gave it one last chance yesterday, but nothing had improved.
I ordered the Grandma’s Sampler and they were out of grits and ham. My sister ordered chicken strips, they were out. My husband ordered eggs, tomatoes, fruit, and grits they were out of the tomatoes and grits. When his fruit cup did arrive, it only had 3–4 small pieces of fruit.
We were polite and understanding each time the waitress told us items weren’t available. The last time she returned, the manager (we assumed it was the manager) came with her to apologize, but no discount or compensation was offered, even though we didn’t order substitutes.
To make matters worse, the restaurant was freezing. In the middle of winter, the fireplace was not on, and the ceiling fans were running. Cracker Barrel used to feel warm, cozy, and homey — this visit felt anything but that.
Very disappointing. We won’t be returning.

It was ok the food was good all except the hamburger steak was really thin, and the bottom of it was hard, looked like it was fixing to start burning. The service would have been a five, but I ask the server a question, and her answer was a lie. She made a point not to fill my tea glass , even though I set it to the side. And yes, she came back to my table I believe it was two times after I set it to the side. I know she seen the glass. The atmosphere was good, all except I hate the country music, I do not listen to anything but gospel, bc I am a Christian. Give I will just start eating at home, unless I can find a restaurant that plays gospel.

It was amazing!! We went on Valentine’s Day and were greeted and seated quickly! Our waitress was a lovely women named Destiny and she was the sweetest!! And was extremely kind and patient when I was having trouble ordering!! And while my son was upset another waitress gave him a piece of candy, sadly I didn’t catch her name. The food was perfect as well!!

There were 4 of us. Our waitress (I have her name) was the worse waitress that I have ever had. We waited 15 minutes, no waitress. Finally another waitress passing by asked if she could help us. She said that she would go find our waitress. Our waitress finally showed up. She took our whole order and left. When we got our drinks and biscuits my plate was dirty. (I have a picture of it) I had to eat on my napkin. We had to ask for straws and extra napkins. While waiting for our food, our waitress got into an heated argument with another waitress because she was waiting on two ladies that had been seated next to us by the lady up front. These two ladies were sitting there having to listen to our waitress arguing over something that should have never taken place. Our food came. One order of scrambled eggs, the white was running out of the eggs. One order of grits that had been ordered as an extra was not delivered. The waitress argued that it didn’t come with the order and we told her that it was ordered specifically as an extra. Still no straws or extra napkins. We had to ask for our tickets. I had to wait on a to go box and when our waitress came with the box, she said that she was sorry for what happened earlier, but that she had to have her lunch.
I recommended this restaurant to my friends because I have eaten there many times with good service and good food, but this was enough to question my going back.

Family of 5 & waited over 30 minutes for a table after being told only about a 10 minute wait. This did not make sense as no one was inside. We could tell the staff was short handed as took that into consideration as we waited to order. However, that went out the window once we got our food 40 minutes after being seated. Childs fried chicken tenders didn’t come with the side ordered. Only learned they were out as the food is being handed around. Additionally, the chicken tenders were over-cooked & greasy & more jerky like. One breakfast meal was missing sides & the waitress looked at us almost disgusted that we questioned it. Another meal came out as fried steak instead of chicken. I know it was ordered as chicken, yet the waitress proceeded to tell me the country steak was ordered. Another breakfast meal was missing side & decided it wasn’t worth saying anything. At this point, we we’re all starving & ate as quickly as possible so we could get out of there. We cleaned & straightened up behind ourselves as always but left feeling let down. The checkout ladies were awesome despite knowing our situation. They called for the manager who never showed. Understandable as he was apparently running the kitchen & busting tables. I conveyed my thoughts & stared they could happily share with management if they thought it would do any good. I left thanking them for their kindness. Really disappointed & tonight really re-enforces why we continue to stay away from this Cracker Barrel location.
