Mason Jar NYC is a lively BBQ & sports bar in Midtown Manhattan serving smoked brisket, ribs, wings, burgers, and classic comfort food alongside an incredible craft beer and whiskey selection. Since 2010, we’ve been a go-to spot for NFL Sundays, college football watch parties, and big NYC sports games. With wall-to-wall TVs, a high-energy game-day atmosphere, and friendly staff, Mason Jar is the perfect place for lunch, dinner, happy hour, or catching the game with friends. Dine in, grab drinks at the bar, or book a table for game day.
Barbecue, beer & bourbon feature at this spot with a sports bar-like complement of widescreen TVs.

Love this place! It’s the perfect spot to catch your favorite sport’s games while enjoying incredible Southern comfort food. The staff was super friendly, and very attentive! Tony and Ian crafted some killer drinks, and one of the partners, Brendan, hung out with us and made the experience even more memorable. His awesome playlist took the atmosphere to the next level. If you’re in NY, this place is a must!

Tried the brisket burger lunch special, added fries for an extra charge, to go.
Portions were large, though price is above average, about 28 total.
Taste was ok, for both the brisket and the fries. Brisket texture was ok as well.

10/10. Loved the vibe of this place and it’s got a good amount of space in there. The food was fantastic! The brisket on the sandwich and on the burger was so tender and the burger was cooked perfectly. We loved the Mac and cheese – the flavors were great and it was perfectly cheesy. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the city!

Came in while traveling for work, and what a friendly staff and overall great experience. They have nice beer selection, but the obvious reason to go is the menu. I cannot stress how good the smoked wings are, and the bartender making a great beer pairing suggestion for them. I travel to the city for work on a regular basis, so I think i found my new favorite restaurant to go to.

Mason Jar NYC is located in a safe area east of Manhattan. Expect a bar/restaurant that gets busy during major sporting events. The seating is very relaxing and not too crowded. The food is decent in general. We tried a burger, short ribs, and chicken wings. Being a sports bar, chicken wings should have been more succulent and bigger portions. The dips are tiny small. The place has a great potential with proper review to the food menu. The desserts are top notch

I recently dined at Mason Jar NYC and it was a fantastic experience, deserving of a full 5 stars. The ribs were incredibly tasty and the brisket, although needing a bit more seasoning on its own, paired perfectly with their flavorful BBQ sauce. The mac and cheese was wonderfully cheesy, though it could benefit from a bit more flavor. The lemonade cocktails were delightful, leading me to try the sweet tea vodka, which has now become my favorite alcohol. We opted for the lunch special, which was well worth it. Our waiter was very nice, providing great service throughout. Highly recommend!

Fun place to grab a burger, and the Wednesday special of 2 for 1 burgers was great! The side salad had blue cheese but I liked the dressing. Good location and convenient and lots of space if you’re in the area.

I was in NYC for Thanksgiving weekend and ate lunch at the Mason Jar. It is Gamecocks bar, and we were there because the Gamecocks marching band was in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade. We had a reservation, and we were seated right away. Unfortunately, it took a full hour to even get a pitcher of water. The staff working were very friendly, but they did not have enough employees working the day we were there. I had a classic cheeseburger with homemade tater tots. The food was outstanding. We would have spent so much more money on drinks if we had service. While it was not a good first impression for me, if you are a Gamecocks fan in NYC, you need to check out the Mason Jar.

Fun lively spot with great service and delicious comfort food. The place was packed with a diverse crowd and extremely lively. It’s great for a solo or group visit. I came in to eat, have a drink and watch the game and had so much fun I can’t wait to go back. They have some great specials too. The tomato soup was my favorite, it was so creamy and delicious and I ordered the pretzel which was to die for with the mustard sauce. I like to dunk the pretzel in the soup. Also the chili and brisket platter is the best. It’s a very clean place with lots of bathrooms which I liked. I highly recommend this place.

I mean …. Is it like a super authentic BBQ place? Not really. But it is not bad at all. Will I recommend it as a must ? No. It’s just like a sports bar with better food. Do think the food is missing that very unique BBQ taste, if you know what I mean. The service was great. Beer choices & drinks were good too. The ambiance is just typical of a sports bar. Is neither a hit nor a miss. Maybe a bit pricy given that the taste was not there. The macaroni and cheese with pull pork, tho….was a hit!
