Located inside the Milwaukee Public Market which in and of itself is very cool, we decided to try David Alan Alan’s Smokehouse. I had never eaten here before but the “Spicy Smokehouse Ramen” on their menu board caught my eye. WOW….Delicious. I got mine with burnt ends. So much flavor and smokiness. Our group also had the Korean BBQ Quesadillas, Nashville Hot Chicken Mac n Cheese, and some drinks. Everything tasted great and the 2 guys working (Bartender & Cook) were very cool. They were friendly, helpful and engaged in conversation with our group. We had a couple out of country guests with us (Japan) who also enjoyed David Alan’s a bunch. I give this place 5 stars for sure.

Logan at David’s AlaAlan was absolutely awesome! He makes some of the best Bloody Marys I’ve had and is clearly in his element behind the bar. He’s very communicative, polite, and engaging, which really adds to the overall experience. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does and takes pride in making great drinks and providing excellent service. I would absolutely recommend stopping by and trying the Bloody Marys—well worth it! Oh… and when the “loaded” part of the bloody is placed gloves are worn when touching your meat/items onto your drink! 100% perfect! Text book visit! Will return for sure! My mom and I stopped in for lunch today and it was absolutely FANTASTIC! We got the Korean ribs. The combination of the crispiness of the ribs in addition to the sauce was out of this world. Some of the best ribs I’ve ever had. We also got some of the fried pickles which were also incredible and they give you enough to feed a small army. The owner and staff were so incredibly friendly and welcoming which just added to the amazing experience. We can’t wait to go back!

I got the Ultimate Mac & Cheese with brisket. I was given the original sauce and i ask for 2 Sweet & Spicy sauces. They weren’t really sweet or spicy actually. The original was better.
The brisket was very tender. The mac and cheese was very cheesy and creamy but super bland. I waited to get home to add some salt, pepper, a little Slap Yo Mama seasoning and it was perfect. I enjoyed it so much then. The cornbread was decent also.

Had a great experience at David Alan Alan’s. Jasmine took amazing care of me and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Ty absolutely killed it in the kitchen—the food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Jordan brought an awesome energy to the place—super talkative, engaging, and genuinely made the experience more fun. You can tell this team works well together and actually enjoys what they do. Highly recommend stopping in!

Truly a lovely experience. Just had gotten back to Milwaukee after traveling and this was where we got lunch. Down the street from the Amtrak station. Could not beat the fresh BBQ and amazing staff Jordan and Dave. Will continue to go here anytime we make it to Milwaukee. DAA tacos are the best thing I’ve ever had, along with the Bloody Mary. Amazing all around.

Hands down the yummiest BBQ and Mac and cheese I have ever had. So good. The counter sit down is inside the Milwaukee Public Market, there is other places to sit if you have a large party.
The ambiance is great, you are entertained by the server and cooks. Very friendly.

This is the Best BBQ in Milwaukee! Their Smoker is literally right in front of you as you eat. It’s a super cool experience watching the whole operation while you are enjoying your meal since they have an open kitchen. The owners are right on the frontlines with their employees and interacting with customers. Great to see!
Chef Ty seemed to be locked in making sure each plate was made with love and having fun. He even asked me how everything tasted. Dave (owner) great dude. You can tell this guy cares about his employees by the atmosphere in the kitchen. These guys are having a blast at work!! Even though it was busy , Dave took time to answer all my questions regarding BBQ and how the place got its name(Cool Story)A young man by the name of Woody took my order and kept my sweet tea full.Overall great experience! And did I mention they make their own sauces??!!

I was so excited to try the BBQ here—the menu looked incredible and everything smelled amazing while waiting for a takeout order.
Unfortunately, I found the Korean spare ribs to be incredibly salty, while the collard greens were watery and didn’t taste like much. The tater tots were good; I liked the seasoning on them.
Service was friendly and fast, and everyone seemed very nice. Just a disappointing food experience!
