If you’re after a laid-back spot with creative toasted subs and a fun vibe, Cheba Hut on Colfax nails it. The moment you walk in, you feel the casual, friendly energy — it’s the kind of place you want to drop by when craving something relaxing but satisfying.

The menu’s full of interesting options: subs toasted just right, plenty of meat, veggie, and custom combinations, plus sides and munchies that hit the spot. What really stands out is how they balance bold flavors without going over the top — every bite feels intentional and fun.

Service is warm and easygoing; the team seems genuinely into what they do. They help you navigate the menu, make it feel easy to order, and keep things smooth.

All in all, Cheba Hut on Colfax is a go-to when you want more than just a sandwich — you want a little flavor adventure in a chill, friendly setting.

Cheba Hut on Central Park never misses. I swear nobody on earth makes subs better than these guys. The bread, the toppings, the sauces — it all hits like they’ve got a sandwich wizard hiding in the back.

Yeah, it’s a stoner-themed place… but bonus points: you absolutely do not need to be high to enjoy it. The food stands on its own. Every time I walk in, the crew is cool, the vibe is chill, and the subs come out next-level good.

If you’re anywhere near Central Park and craving a sandwich that goes way harder than it should… this is the spot.

the manager on January9th 2026 tonight a p o s I walked in ordered my sandwich let cashier know I’m at the bar gonna have a drink while I wait. then after going to the bar I walked over let the prep staff and let them know im at the bar and my name as well I went to the bar to get a drink and then let the bartender also know I was waiting on a to go order and just having a drink while I wait. I’m sure All on store camera I’m sure to verify time frame of what occurred . Ok I will call corporate to let them know the shitty service from the so called manager on duty this night. Literally After maybe 15 to 20 min later the manager comes to the bar and ask ask if I’m Allen I tell him yes and he goes off on me for sitting at the bar trying to have a drink ignoring my order called out 20 times.when I tried to explain I told his cashier and prep staff my name and I’ll be at the bar, in a rude manner he said not his problem and we called your name 20 times. I replied I let your staff cashier and prep team and bartender know I am at the bar waiting why you going off on me ? really. After informing your cashier I’m at the bar notifying your end prep table I’m an at the bar and even after letting your bartender know IM waiting on a order. you come tell me you called my name 20 times and make me look like an ass for not responding when your staff did their job but you didn’t, and when I stood up and talked back you try ask me to leave once I was in my way to the car to prove your in the right. because your incompetence of managing a store and customer relations again calling corporate tomorrow you p o s manager in Jan 9 2026 between 9 pm and 9 48 pm I also asked for a refund for the coors light I declined to finish full glass after the so called managers attitude and power trip. Agin watch your store videos on Jan 9 2026 between maybe 915 pm to 10 pm. Wood’s may not show much but visually and my corresponding record will prove something

Tonight after 4 days waiting on response from some corporate manager and after taking to night manager tonight’s Jan 18 th 2026 I was told yeah management don’t care about complaints or how customers are treated. Really you gonna say that after I said I have your dm number and reached out to him Owen the district manager. Wow

Absolutely love this place! Great atmosphere and always great service. It’s way more than just a sandwich shop; the bar vibe and the Kool-Aid selection make it stand out. It’s an inclusive, LGBTQ+ friendly spot that’s perfect for hanging out with friends. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing takeout, it consistently delivers.

Quick and tasty! That’s how I like it. My uncle and I both had the G-13, which is the turkey and roast beef. That’s my go to, and it was my uncle’s first time. We both enjoyed it thoroughly, as I knew we would. Trust me, you don’t have to be in 420 heaven to enjoy this lot. Quality food, easily customizable and service with a smile. Subway has nothing on this place!

Cheba Hut never misses.

Every time I come here, the food is consistent, fast, and exactly what I’m craving. I usually order the 5-0 and the Dank, and both are absolute bangers in their own way.

The 5-0 is the perfect classic—stacked with meat, toasted just right, and balanced so it’s filling without being sloppy. The Dank, though, is on another level. Loaded, rich, and unapologetically indulgent, it’s the kind of sandwich you think about later and immediately want again. Add their house sauces and it’s game over.

The bread is always toasted perfectly—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside—and they never skimp on portions. You actually feel like you’re getting your money’s worth, which is rare these days.

The vibe is classic Cheba Hut: chill, fun, and unpretentious. Staff are always friendly, efficient, and clearly know what they’re doing, even when it’s busy. Orders come out quick and accurate, which matters when you’re hungry.

If you’re in Denver and want a reliable, satisfying sandwich with personality, this place is a no-brainer. I’ll keep coming back, and I’d recommend it to anyone without hesitation.

A great local sandwich place. Got the 8 inch meatball and it was almost too much. Almost. Food was excellent. Perfectly done. Interesting atmosphere with restaurant area and a bar. A good hang. If you like sandwiches. Give it a try.

This is a way better version of all the other sub shops out there. I’m a very plain eater just grilled cheese and tomato. But my husband who is a vegetarian likes everything and the kitchen sink on his sandwich so it works out for both of us. My only complaint was when I just said tomatoes I got 3 half tomato slices. So I figured out I have to ask for triple tomatoes. Everything was perfect and yummy after that even the blue raspberry koolaid.

I’ve been eating here the last several months and I don’t go to any other sandwich shop anymore. I visit about 1-2 a week and the quality, service, and venue are always solid. They know me on a first name basis, and they also granted me access to the ‘Secret Stash’ menu. The only tiny gripe I could have is having an experienced bar tender on duty, most times drinks are timely but recently there have been newer staff behind the bar during the week nights and its has taken much longer. (Not gonna dock a star though, as on average the drink selection is fantastic and quality is exceptional!)
