Our bestfriends were coming into Rockford for the weekend and really wanted to eat here with us. It had been a few years, and last I heard, this location was closed. We had reservations on Saturday evening, and we’re greeted with a full parking lot and overflowing interior. Considering how packed it was, they only had one bartender, trying to keep both the full bar, and full restaurant happy. She did her best, but unfortunately, couldn’t possibly keep up with the demand. It took about 20 minutes to get our drinks, and they were delicious. I had a Blackberry Bourbon Smash and my wife had a Passion Fruit Spritz. Our friends arrived and we ordered drinks foe them to be delivered to the table. We all ordered appetizers and dinners, and were delighted to get the apps in approximately 10 minutes or so. We enjoyed the crab, spinach, and artichoke dip and had a few shrimp of my friends shrimp cocktail. I ordered the Lobster, salmon, and shrimp off the Lobster fest menu and my wife had the Lobster wrapped scallions. Both were decent, but nothing beyond ordinary. The Lobster was slightly overdone, and lacked butter, the shrimp was dry from being on the grill too long, and the salmon was good, but lacked seasoning. Long story short, our company was the greatest thing about our meal. Also, I need to mention, we were there for almost 1.5 hours and didn’t get cheddar biscuits until we were about to leave.

The boils wee delicious , everything was cooked well. Cajun butter hit the spot. Feast for 2 could have fed a few more! The lobster duo was delicious and they even brought out an extra lobster tail as my mother in laws was on the small side!

Santo Le took care of us today, and take care of us he did He recommend some amazing dishes, had a lovely personality and made us feel like we were celebrating something special, (dining out with family always is). We just really appreciate good food experiences.

Upon sitting down to dinner, Marcus asked if we were celebrating an occasion. I told him we were celebrating our son’s back to school senior year dinner. Throughout the experience, Marcus was very friendly and tentative to our table’s needs. The food was excellent and timely. At the very end of dinner, Marcus presented my son with the ice cream plate wishing him good luck for his senior year. That gesture was so thoughtful and made our evening even more special. We will definitely be back in hopes that Marcus is our server again!

Our waitress Julie was extremely respectful and very sweet. She was quick, opened up conversations with us, was overall very polite. She made sure the food, drinks, seating, service etc… was all phenomenal! She did an outstanding job, I hope to get her as my waitress next time. Thank you for the great food.

This was the best dinner I have had in a while. We had a large party and our food came out correct and beautiful in a timely manner. Our server was so sweet. I highly recommend the bacon wrapped scallops! The section we were in was a bit chilly but otherwise this was a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back.
