The seafood was really good. The drinks were served in small foam cups with lids that were annoying because they ran out constantly and the server couldn’t see the contents to refill them. The seafood was great but there wasn’t any flavoring whatsoever in the seasoning. I literally had to salt all of the fried food. The service was great and friendly. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table and overall I think it was worth it.

Absolutely amazing food and HUGE portions! My husband loves flounder and I saw it on their menu so we decided to try it and are so glad we did! We had a shrimp cocktail appetizer, fried flounder, and a combo plate with popcorn shrimp and clam strips and key lime pie for dessert. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent! This is a family-owned business – one of those “hole-in-the-wall” restaurants that all the locals frequent; nothing fancy inside but very cozy. My hubby said it’s the best flounder he’s had hands down. We’re not locals but we’ll definitely be back next time we’re near Jacksonville. Highly recommend!

This is my second review of the Seafood Kitchen. I don’t think I’ve ever reviewed a place twice but we love this restaurant so it’s earned a second 5 star rating. We live 3.5 hours away from Atlantic Beach but we travel through the area a few times a year and always try to include a lunch stop at the Seafood Kitchen. The food is amazing and service is too. My favorite is the stuffed flounder but they have many different options on the menu. My wife loves their fried shrimp and the conch fritters are excellent! The portions are great, you won’t leave hungry. The place has a sort of “hole in the wall” ambiance. Nothing fancy here which is fine by us. Lastly, every Monday they offer veterans a substantial discount on their meals. I’m not a veteran but I sure do appreciate them honoring our vets this way. Bravo Seafood Kitchen! We can’t wait to return again!

I have to recognize Kara T for an awesome experience for my husband and I having an early dinner. She was so helpful and extremely patient with our picky request and had such a fun and friendly attitude. In the end, we were stuffed and took left overs home. I wish we could visit more often!

I was told the locals love Seafood Kitchen. I had the lunch seafood combo that was very good and the serving size was more than enough. The fish in the combo was grouper.
The atmosphere is very mom and pop and appears like a business that has been around for many years.

Food was great, especially the Mayport blackened shrimp and blackened Grouper. Scallops were a 4, a bit small and need a slight crust on one side for that perfect texture and caramelized flavor. The class were a bit overcooked and chewy, but fresh. The oysters were pretty good, but very small and not as much of a brine to my personal liking- very fresh though. I would come back, and would recommend this place to everyone, simply because the service is outstanding and the blackened fresh fish and shrimp are fantastic!

3.21.2025, we arrived at around 8:00 p.m. It was our first time. We had about a 20 minute wait for two people. Our hostess, Mallory arrived to our table in less than 2 minutes to take our drink order. For alcohol, they only serve beer and wine. I was disappointed that they didn’t have Near Beer, the non-alcoholic beer. For an appetizer, we had the small crab cake bites (8 count), pound and a half each of the crab legs (three clusters) with a side of baked sweet potato, coleslaw, and collard greens, which was also the special tonight. Our food arrived in less than 15 minutes. Everything we ordered taste good. The crab legs could have been a little bigger. They were seasoned well, and the clarifird butter was definitely a compliment. Hush puppies and crackers come automatically with each meal. Mallory checked in on us throughout our dining experience but she wasn’t overboard with it you know where they get on your nerves because they keep asking you how a is everything lol.
The ladies bathroom was clean, the menus were clean, the condiment bottles were clean, overall the restaurant was clean, and I noticed that the tables were cleaned immediately after guest left.
We weren’t able to use our military discount tonight however, on Monday’s the military discount is 30% off. Every night they have some sort of special. Our meal with appetizer came to $96, which to me was fair considering the taste, quality, and the amount of food given.
We will be back!!!

Great experience! At first glance, the restaurant feels small. But once seated, you know it’s going to be one of those places that will leave you happy you came. My family and I were in a group of 11. The waitress was great at taking our orders, refilling drinks, and remembering requests for things. The menu had plenty of options without feeling overwhelming. They even offered specials for each day of the week. The crab legs are amazing! The quality and quantity for the price were on point! So glad we gave this place a try

Perfect local spot in St Augustine! The food was fresh, plentiful, and delicious! We had the gator bites and conch fritters as an appetizer, and I had the chilled seafood platter as a main.
The oysters were great, the shrimp was tender and juicy and the the crab (tons of crab!) was sweet and tender.
The conch fritters were pretty amazing. Lots of peppers and onions in the mix but still had that conch goodness.
Our server, Christie, was perfect. Attentive without being intrusive, speedy and efficient. She said she was new, but served us like a seasoned pro. Major props to her!
It was full of locals (I assume) which is a good sign. It did not disappoint.
Great experience and well be back if we’re in town again.
