Since the new management took over, the difference at Gangnam Korean BBQ is night and day. It used to be just alright, but now you can really notice the increased quality and the extra attention they put into everything. The food is always incredible, and the BBQ never fails to be delicious, it’s consistently top-notch every single time we go. ( You should try the corn cheese- its literally the best )
The atmosphere is one of my favorite parts because it feels so homey and cozy; I honestly love this place with my whole heart. If I had to nitpick, the bathrooms downstairs could definitely use a modern update since they’re a bit “scary” looking, but honestly, that doesn’t even matter when the food and service are this good. It’s easily one of the best spots in Halifax for a consistent, high-quality meal.
The service really deserves its own shout-out because the staff is always so attentive and genuinely kind. Even when it’s busy, they never make you feel rushed, and they’re always quick to help with the grill or refill side dishes. The whole experience feel so welcoming and keeps us coming back.

This is such a quaint spot, and the food is DELICIOUS! My husband and I went there for a dinner date and took the BBQ with the works. It was something on my bucket list to try, and it exceeded my expectation. The service was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely make it a point to come back everything we visit Halifax!

The food is absolutely delicious.Me and my husband both think it’s the best Korean food in Halifax and we’ve been here several times. BUT this time,less than 20 minutes after finishing our meal on the way home we both started experiencing sharp stomach pain,We screaming in the car ☹️ and then had diarrhea when we got home. We still feel both awful and amused,it was the longest and most unbearable drive home we’ve ever experienced. This has never happened before!! Something definitely seemed off with the food this time!!!

I went to eat there on Sunday with my boyfriend because I was craving some Korean food and I can tell you, it did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the portion is big. We ordered Korean bbq for 2 and a soup thinking the portion would be small as we have experienced in other bbq places but once we had everything in front of us we realized we wouldn’t be able to finish it all. At the end we had to take home the rest of our order and we had food for the next day.
The service is 10/10, they were very welcoming, friendly and attentive at any time. They even helped us with the bbq so it was done even which made it tastier and recommended things from the menu.
If you’re planning to get some Korean food, have this as your first option. It’s totally worth it.
