My son had heard good things about Sampa from a friend and asked to try it. We visited Sampa last weekend with a 5 person family and the experience far surpassed our expectations. The service was warm and friendly and the food was absolutely delicious and a great value when considering the generous portion size, quality ingredients, and amazing flavors. The Fejoada was super flavorful and the sides of white rice, collard greens, orange, and farofa complimented and enhanced the Fejoada. The Picanha steak was juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor; a must try dish. The cheeseburgers with added crispy bacon and extra crispy fries were a hit with our 10 year old diners. The chicken Caesar salad was tasty too. The food was nourishing and filling; next time we want to try some of smoothies and/or good looking desserts. We look forward to eating at Samoa again soon!

I found this gem on my bike ride down Soquel Ave toward Santa Cruz from Capitola. I was really in the mood for an Acai bowl, and they had a great one! They also serve killer Brazilian coffee that they import. It was smooth and definitely worth trying. The menu looked amazing, so I’ll be returning for dinner next time.

It’s definitely worth trying out!

The food turned out better than my expectations based upon the pictures I have seen of the food. Pictures are also misleading about portion size – you won’t leave hungry .

All the sauces and salsas were delicious and provided the flavorful punch you might want for your meals.

Staff were great, friendly and quick. I think my water never got empty before they’d refill it.

I’m very picky when it comes to service and food—especially because I’m Brazilian, and we tend to be quite demanding about these things. And since this is a Brazilian restaurant, I can confidently say I highly recommend it.

It all started with Ronaldo’s service—exceptional! He’s cheerful, polite, and very friendly. We ordered the traditional “Feijoada” with meat, a Brazilian beer (“Brahma”), and ended with a “doce de leite” dessert. Everything was perfect! Natasha was also super friendly and courteous.

The parking lot has plenty of spaces and is accessible for everyone.
I highly recommend Sampa Restaurant!

Stopped by for lunch after seeing the reviews and it was great. Had the salmon and the portions were just right. Vegetables were tasty and fresh and the salmon with chipotle sauce was tender and cooked perfectly. Can’t wait to bring the family so we can order multiple items. This place deserves the high review ratings.

Amazing authentic Brazilian cuisine!
From the savory pastel, coxinha suco de maracujá (passion fruit juice), to feijoada (beans/pork stew)! It was nice to find the taste of home miles away from home!

I’m ashamed to admit that I was skeptical at first, but this place really won me over. Every single dish exceeded expectations, even down to the beans and rice, which are usually just supporting actors (but not here!)

The food was fresh and flavorful, and the drinks hit the spot. And that parfait de crema dessert?? Already planning my return trip just for that.

If you’re on the fence like I was, don’t be! Just go. This place delivers, and I’ll be dragging my friends here soon.

Every 5 years or so you just stumble up on “your new favorite restaurant” seemingly out of the blue. We thought we’d go to The Crows Nest, but they chased us out since we didn’t have reservations (Saturday night @6). Wife got on the phone and found Sampa and we said “why not, let’s try it, it has a really high rating.” We were warmly greeted, and seated promptly. Restaurant was about half full when we got there, but filled to capacity about halfway through our dinner. Appetizer was delicious.(Empanadas) I had beef carvalo (skirt steak topped with eggs and garden salad. Fabulous! Wife and sisters food was great, and kids hamburgers looked awesome too. Some of the best beans I’ve ever had, loaded with meat! Just a rarity to get great service and food at same visit & owner came to check on us at least twice. I’m over in the valley, but I will now be making special trips out there to go back to Sampa. Their pride in their food showed me that they will be around for a long time! Stoked to find a new and instant favorite spot.
