F&D Woodfire Italian Bar and Grill
Food:
Flavors were well balanced across the board. The garlic bread really stood out with a strong, fresh garlic and herb flavor that didn’t taste muted or overly oily. The Chicken Parmesan was decent, nicely crisp breading served over a bed of spaghetti. The only downside is the portion size, which felt smaller than expected for the price.
Service:
Excellent. Attentive, friendly, and efficient throughout the meal.
Atmosphere:
Cool, lively vibe with no real complaints. It’s worth noting we dined on a Monday night around 7 p.m. and still had about an hour wait for a table, so reservations are highly recommended.
The verdict:
Solid Italian spot with good flavors, great service, and a nice atmosphere. Worth visiting, but plan ahead for wait times and don’t expect oversized portions.

What a wonderful valentine day meal. We were quickly seated and Josh came and greeted us and told us about some of the great choices on the menu. I was so happy I took his recommendation for the chicken Marsala! It was phenomenal! Josh was attentive without being overbearing during a very busy evening. Could not recommend the restaurant more and ask for Josh if you get the chance. He elevated an already excellent restaurant to stellar.

First time here since moving to Orlando a few months ago and let me just tell you this food is so amazing. You can fully feel in your heart and in your stomach you leave so full you can hardly walk. They messed up on our pizza but she turned it right around and gave us a free dessert. I’m honestly very impressed with their service and their teamwork intelligence. You don’t see it often, but they did an amazing job at this restaurant tonight at 10. We definitely come back!!

I enjoyed dining on the outdoor patio. Our server Josh very attentive. The appetizers, specifically the brussels sprouts and stuffed mushrooms were fantastic. I ordered chicken parm and it was crispy and well seasoned. The pasta that came with it was a tad too flavorless for me. My aperol spritz was not the right ratio and tasted mostly like tonic water. The desserts were good- we tried the lemon olive oil cake, Tiramisu, the chocolate mousse and the cannolis. All were excellent, but it was a little strange that they were served with cool whip- I think I would’ve preferred regular whipped cream.

Excellent customer service! Our waitress, Aly, was amazing. She surprised my husband with a house limoncello olive oil cake for his birthday, and it was so good. We always come to this place, and we will definitely continue coming back.

We were looking for a good place to have pizza and pasta, and this spot came up with great reviews online.
Based on that, my expectations were quite high—especially when we arrived and saw how busy the place was. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed.
• The fried calamari tasted oily and was overcooked.
• The pizza was too soggy.
• The pasta had an odd flavor and was heavy on black pepper.
• The garlic bread was okay.
The best part was our server—she was really nice and kind—but overall, the food didn’t live up to the hype.
It’s hard for me to see myself going back, and I wouldn’t really recommend it.

After eating door dash for a week, I wanted to go to a real restaurant. You know the type. They take your order, cook the food, bring you drinks and food, and clean up.
We won’t go to real restaurants much anymore but we did tonight and F&D Woodfired Italian Kitchen did not disappoint.
I’m so happy we are getting some good restaurants in The Hourglass District.
We shared an order of calamari. I had a pizza with a cauliflower crust and Carl had the steak and mushroom risotto. The cauliflower crust was the best I’ve ever had.
Our server Josh was great! Very attentive.
I would have given 5 stars if parking was betters. Parking sucks for this location.
