We took a trip to vegas and wanted to act like a local going around casinos and looking around the outskirts of the strip.

We came across this casino called south point where it had the most wonderful buffet for the money! The service is really good as they are very attentive to asking. You to wave your hand if you need something. And they would get it for you. They didn’t have a lot of selections of sodas like sprite, and seven up did not exist, but sierra mist was the closest for example. They do give you drink vouchers for beer and wine.

Since this is a local favorite that we understand all walks of life go into there to eat. One thing I learned is that we were the only ones that got a stamp on our receipt for tipping, because we did tip at the cash register. But we also tipped our server when we were done. I noticed hardly anyone tipped, there maybe was one table. These hardworking servers deserve a little bit help.

Where can I begin about the food! We ate there on a friday night.Which provided us the seafood section dungeness, crab oysters, clams. My better half really, like the clams in that really buttery sauce that they had. I personally like the prime rib and the pasta that they had. They had this clam sauce and a butter shrimp sauce was absolutely delicious.

The atmosphere is okay due to all that additional smoke. That’s coming from the casino into the buffet. However, it appears to go away as you’re getting your food and eating it.Maybe your senses are more drawn to the smells of your food than what’s going on with the casino. I wish this buffet was enclosed and separated from the casino itself. For those non smokers in us.

Also prepare for the long lines. We took a chance and stood in line two hours before dinner, and it paid off. What happens is you end up leaking into the lunch, and then into dinner time. It took us about an hour as you can see in our picture.

We see why it’s popular and we ould go here again absolutely!

One of the only cheap Casino Buffets left. The variety is spot on actually featuring a nice spread. I particularly enjoyed the Pot Stickers and Tortellini specifically with Bolognese Sauce. Most of the food was stirred every once in awhile by the chefs to make sure that all the flavors and aspects of the dish were easy to obtain.

Admittedly, the fish was pretty dry and the cheese on the Cordon Bleu was harder to chew comparatively to how good the actual chicken beneath it tasted. The glass above the food is close to it and so I had to smush my face against it to grab some of the food behind. Also, it didn’t make sense for dessert toppings, soups, specials, and shrimp to be under the general category of salad when looking above.

Service was really nice and we never ran out of drinks nor did we get overflowed with dishes. The wirkers at the counter were equally very nice and personable. Though it seemed pretty hot in the casino in general.

I still enjoyed my time here thoroughly and would genuinely come back when I’m craving a buffet.

This is a great little spot just a bit south of the strip and well worth the trip. We loved this place compared to many other options on the strip. The food was really good and you get some beverages too! Show up early because there’s usually a wait on Friday’s at least! Worth the wait!

Went for breakfast/lunch. The quality and service was good for the price. Good bang for your buck. Menudo soup tasted authentic and probably my favorite breakfast item. Not sure of the bloody marrys are free but I got 2 free tickets and they were so good.

This place remain to be a popular place and also within my consideration even after food quality deduction and price increased. It is just more affordable comparing to other places closer to the strip. Service was great and whatever drink I ordered was free, just needed to ask. Foods are just acceptable, which I am ok at this place, but the ice cream machine seem getting dirty.

South Point Casino Las Vegas.
Drove to South Point Casino for their weekday $16.95 breakfast Buffet. It’s about a 12 minute drive from the strip with free Valet & self parking. This low cost Buffet is a nice place, has plenty of seating and the place is clean. The food is better than the MGM Buffet slightly better than Excalibur Buffet. Staff was very friendly and they bring you your drinks (non alcohol). Overall it was good, they give you a discount just for having a free Southpoint players card. Will definitely come back if I get the chance. The Casino is a nice place to gamble with plenty of new & oldschool slot machines, Casino staff is also very friendly.
It’s Las Vegas have a great time.

The South Point Garden Buffet was a great value! Only $20 for all you can eat lunch with non alcoholic drinks included. The buffet seating area is very big and has large comfortable booths. The buffet had way more options than we were expecting. There was a carving station with different meats, seafood peel and eat shrimp, omelette station,Italian pasta, breads,pizzas,taco/nacho bar,Asian, soup and salad bar, fruit, baked potato bar and even Mongolian BBQ cooked to order. We could not believe how good the food was and the large variety of choices for only $20. They also have a large selection of fresh made pies, cakes, pastrys, gelato, ice cream and all the toppings. We were seated very quickly and our server was friendly and made sure our drinks were always full. We have been to all of the high priced Vegas buffets even VIP at the Wynn on Thanksgiving but we feel that this was the best value of them all. Definitely will be back. Free Parking and Free rewards/ players card

Went for weekend dinner with Prime Rib, around 30 dollars if you have player’s card. I was pleasantly surprised most of the food was very good. The highlight for me was the prime rib, it was delicious, tender and cooked perfectly. The craved turkey was not dry and good as well. The service was good, our drinks were never empty and our server offered ice coffee after the meal. We got there at 3 and it was not too busy, by the time we left at 5:30, it was very busy. I did not get to try everything since I filled up on my one pound of prime rib so I will be returning. My brother loved the pizza and Mexican food station.
