We had lunch on a Saturday afternoon and it was very nice! The atmosphere is fun and energetic without being too loud. It got more crowded as the afternoon went on, so going at noon is a quieter time.
I had the Cubano and he had the club sandwich both with fries and they were pretty good. The fries weren’t the greatest but they were pretty good. A little crisper and more salt would do it nicely. I like that they give you the condiments at the table and you can do it yourself.
They had good limonadas and the portions were full. We’d come back if we are ever in the mall.

My burger was good but patty was raw I just ate around the raw parts don’t want to eat raw ground beef especially here in the DR. Didn’t complain about that because didn’t want them to charge the cook or waiter.

The service is quite good and friendly. The dishes are simple but well-made. My absolute favorite is the hot chocolate and their club sandwich. I’ve been going there since 2015 and I recommend it for anyone who wants to grab a bite with someone and just talk for a while. The place brings some 80s nostalgia back and has also a sandwich bar which is lovely. It is also quite inexpensive so it’s good for a flash date. I don’t really have pictures right now but I have taken some.

Good food and excellent environment inside this place. The only downside I experienced here was that my order wasn’t prepared properly. I order “ El Ligerito” which include an egg white’s omelet with vegetables. And I ended up receiving scrambled eggs (the whole egg) with cut peppers.
When I ask my server about it he said he changed it because that way it is more food.
Anyways just make sure they prepare your food as you ask it. Besides that the place is really nice and the food is good.
I recommend the “Ensalada de Pollo” it is incredibly delicious

Accesible price tho food could’ve been better, I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and it was not what I expected. Good customer service and nice atmosphere, usually crowded during lunch time. I really like the theme, my favorite thing from the place.

Cafe America is the worst “American diner” in Santo Domingo
Let’s begin with the poor quality of service, the lack of attention, and red flag- the solidarity notice 5 miles away.
My husband and I decided to give it a shot, we walked in no one greeted us so we sat down in a booth ourself, with 7 employees presented no one again approached us. We called out and a young man walked over to us. Handed us the menu and walked away. Didn’t bother to question if we wanted to drink anything, when we decided what we wanted again, we called out.
Same young man came back and took our order, w asked for a bottle of water, a Chinola juice, as starter nachos, a bacon burger, and angus churrasco steak.
I specifically said please bring us the drinks this kid completely ignored my request, 20 minutes later brings the nachos that appeared to come out of a can and bag. Then the drinks. Nachos were to consist of nacho chips, nacho cheese, guacamole, ground beef, onions and tomatoes. Let me tell you how it was a disaster. The meat was actually tuna/albacore mixed with purée beans.
The angus churrasco steak appeared to be a a thin slice of meat with no taste, not even the chimichurri sauce could save it.
Lastly the Bacon cheese burger…. Lord the burger and fries looked like the meat was cooked in a microwave the cheese appeared plastic and the bacon, what bacon… it was 1 semi cooked slice .
I requested the manager and explained to him he agreed it was unacceptable he tried offering to redo it but at this point I’m disgusted and furious. He took it off the bill thankfully.
We don’t know how this place is standing. I repeat do not go there!!!!
