Me and my family have been coming here for the past 3 years and we always order pork tamales, mixed carnitas, and have had dishes from the menu. The pork tamales never fails! They are so delicious alone and with some crema. Carnitas has a very good flavor and isnt salty! I like my carnitas with extra buche and skin so I always order it that way when purchasing lbs of it.
10/10 recommend this place.

The line was very long this morning but it was worth the wait. The workers were very busy and multitasking a lot I didn’t get to finish telling her the rest of my order but she ended up asking me what else i wanted . The tamales and tacos are delicious with the rice & beans definitely going back for the salsa.

I’m pretty much a regular at La Esperanza along with my family. This Wednesday as my family and I were walking in, the security approached my nephew (9) and told him no drinks were allowed in the store. My nephew offered to throw the drink away and the security escorted him to show him the trash outside. I was upset along with my family because 1. Why did a grown man approach a child and is not speaking to the adults. 2. The solution was not throwing the drink away and or walking out with a child with out an adult’s permission but rather reassuring the child he can place the drink somewhere for him while we shop around. We understand that drinks are not allowed while you shop but this is was not how to handle that type of situation. I was more upset because it is not the first encounter we have seen where this specific security takes situations to the next level. I’m not sure what type of training he receives but it’s definitely not giving working with the public. At the end of the day I did ask to speak to a manager and I appreciate her apology. This is the only reason I’m giving service three stars.. I hope they have a good conversation with the security on how to treat people.

This place is a three in one place of magic! Bakery, grocery store & deli. Line out the door of the deli, you know it’s gonna be good! Only took about 5 min to get helped out. Food is fresh and delicious every time. I drive all the way from Roseville to get food here.

Perfect for all your Mexican food needs. The best masa para tamales. The best chicharrones de lonja. Enjoy, but expect lines early in the morning and later evenings.

Been around for a long time, (preferred) neighborhood bakery. Most of the staff is nice even though they’ve hired new people, but they’re always friendly and professional. Most of the time there’s a long line, but because the product is so good.
