Sooooo, the new place has more outdoor seating and its going to get HOTT hot here this summer so that’s a huge bummer! Food is better than good for bar food. I mean this place is a staple in St Petersburg! If you have lived here for a while and haven’t tried this place, wake up!!!!! This is is a must try, new specials every day. The staff is the BEST!!! You can’t get a double shot of ANYTHING in this town for that price. Out of towners and locals, stop by here! You will NOT be disappointed!!!!!

We ordered three appetizers and only two came out, yet we were charged for all three and had to prove we never received the third. The food that did arrive was cold, like it had been sitting out for a while and the rice was very hard and unreadable. Waisted if money!!!
We also ordered a round of drinks that never came, but of course, they were still on the bill. Once again, we had to argue to get the charges removed.
I accidentally left my hoodie and tried calling, only to find out they don’t have a phone line, which I find very odd. I drove 20 minutes back (my fault), just to be told that no one would assist me in looking for my item.
To top it off, I ordered a burger to go and got home to find a wrap of some sort instead, which I’m sure costs far less than what I paid for.
Needless to say, I will never return and will never recommend this place to anyone.

A great dive bar with a real inexpensive menu. I had the snapper which was the catch of the day for my main course it was pretty good but I would have liked more blackening seasoning on it . My appetizer was the Tuna Shashimi which was fantastic with a great set of sauces for dipping (wasabi and a soy ginger sauce) I go back every time we are in town. The place is too small but they are moving down the street to a bigger location very soon.

We stopped by Dead Bob’s for lunch and had a hard time parking as the place is packed and parking is limited. We live the Joint, so we were interested to compare the two. My husband ordered the Chicken Wings and I ordered the Brussel Sprouts and Caprese Salad. The service was spotty considering the number of people eating lunch there, but the food was enjoyable. We prefer the Joint, but it was nice to try their sister restaurant.

Checked out the new location. They sure packed more people in there, but they were still extremely understaffed. We sat down at the bar when 2 seats opened up and not 1 bartender acknowledged us for 15 minutes. Ordered an app and it came out about 3-4 minutes before our entrees. My entree was wings and they took 50 minutes to come out. We never went to Dead Bobs for their service at the previous location, but this was really bad service for sitting at the bar.

With the new location, prices went way up. The online menu price is around $13 for bone in wings and on the new menu they were over $17.

Also, the new staff uniforms now include a large Don’t Tread On Me patch on the arm. This lets you know exactly the kind of people ownership are. Maybe that appeals to you, but I’d rather spend my money to one of the many inclusive places in St Petersburg. Five star all around- it’s a dive bar – you get what you came for! The bar was packed at 3:00 in the afternoon on a Monday- maybe only 1 seat!
Referred here by friends- for a good burger and it didn’t disappoint. I will say though, I should have stuck with the waitresses suggestion of medium. I ordered medium well and they are thinner burgers because you get 2- so mine came out well done. With all the yummy fixings didn’t bother me too much! $12 Blue burger that comes with Swiss and mushrooms too was delicious— I could only eat half. A side of fries is like $1.25 extra. Beers are reasonable- $3.75 for a Corona light. 2 beers and a massive burger for $20 is pretty good. I forget to ask if there is a surcharge for using a card- and there was- 3%. Great experience I’ll be back!

Dead Bobs has a vibe that perfectly matches its name. We came here off a recommendation for a local and it was definitely an experience.

This is a classic old dive bar in St. Pete- it’s loud, a bit rowdy and not the cleanest. There are funny signs all over and yes, Dead Bob is actually a person utilized in their logo and branding.

We came for brunch one morning which I imagine was a little tamer than other times, but it was still super busy. It gets crammed when it’s busy.

Service was a little slow but we enjoyed our meals. It was standard breakfast food, a small menu. The best part was definitely the prices, probably the cheapest meal we had all weekend around Treasure Island area.
