This is the best food I have tasted in my entire life. I have no words to describe it — but I’m going to try.
I went to Sokai on Valentine’s Day with my boyfriend. We’re from Brazil and were in Miami on vacation, so I discovered Sokai while searching online for dinner options nearby. I made a reservation, and thank goodness I did, because all the tables filled up very quickly.
The restaurant is very beautiful and romantic, creating the perfect atmosphere for Valentine’s Day. We were initially seated outside, but since it was cold, we asked to move inside, and this was done without any issues. Even though the restaurant was quite busy, the waitress was extremely attentive and kind, always interested in our opinions and making sure we were comfortable.
Regarding the food, I already knew Sokai was a Peruvian-Japanese fusion restaurant, but I had never tried anything like that before. We first ordered the Valentine’s special sushi, but since the dishes were taking a while to arrive, we decided to order two other types of sushi as well. Honestly, I can’t even explain exactly what I ate—there were so many unfamiliar elements. What I do know is that it was an explosion of flavors unlike anything I had ever experienced before; it felt truly surreal. The fish was so tender it melted in my mouth, incredibly succulent, and each piece of sushi was completely unique. It was worth every penny and every minute of waiting—an unforgettable experience.
I was extremely satisfied with my visit to Sokai. I even wanted to try more dishes from the extensive and diverse menu, but unfortunately, that wasn’t possible. Thank you so much to the entire team for this incredible experience. I truly hope to return someday and enjoy Sokai again!

Sokai Sushi Bar Hallandale — a great find!
Fresh fish, well-crafted rolls, and a really nice presentation. The sashimi quality surprised me — very solid. Service is attentive and fast, and the team genuinely cares. The atmosphere is modern and relaxed, perfect for a casual lunch or dinner.
Highly recommend trying their Signature Rolls and the Tuna Tataki — absolutely excellent.
One small suggestion: it would be great to have another Prosecco option on the menu, as the current one is very sour.
Overall, a place you definitely want to come back to!

Wow! Our server Millie was amazing! Very kind and attentive! The food was great and the restaurant had a nice ambience. We brought our dog, also named Millie and sat on the patio. The acevichado roll, Brie temptation roll, and jalapeño popper roll were a 10/10. Will definitely be returning soon.
