The restaurant has tons of menu, but I chose the most recommended one as mentioned in the app. The portion is huge, while the taste is okay. Never try the original Hongkong food, but the food in this restaurant does remind me about food in Hongkong airport. The chicken feet is very good, and even better when add some chili oil/chili sauce. The BBQ Pork is also good. The roasted pork is good, but the skin is still a little bit chewy. Oh and for the roasted duck, I prefer it to be more tender. The veggies…very freshh and good (perfectly cooked), but I need extra effort to eat/chew thrm cause they are so bigg, like the whole bunches of veggies. Uber eats said the food is ready, but I had to wait couple minutes to get them ready, because the restaurant is very busy…even the manager/the owner/I don’t really know who she is, but she’s also shouted in the kitchen..she seemed mad about something..anyway, on the positive side, the restaurant is very clean, the servers are also very friendly. Probably, I should try other dishes next time.

The beef chow mein was good. The sweet and sour pork was just breaded, deep fried pork with sauce. It didn’t have any pineapple or peppers. Most of my pieces were entirely fat instead of meat. The pork fried rice was pasty. It was just rice and pork, with no egg or peas. Our wait time wasn’t too bad, but I was served first and my husband was served about 10 minutes later. I will not be going back.

I ordered for delivery & it was a waste of $50. The egg rolls were burned & the filling was not good at all. There was no sauce at all with my potstickers which again the filling was not good. I ordered vegetable bean sprouts chow mein & there were no other veggies nor any soy sauce packets and was very blah. And same with the beef & noodle dish absolutely no sauce packets and was very bland. I never leave bad reviews really I don’t, this may be my first one. But save your money.

I was excited to try the re-opened Hong Kong and was hoping that my favorite, chicken chow fun was still as good as it was at the original Hong Kong. Fortunately, the chow fun was great! The pot stickers were awesome. Everything else was lacking. The service was extremely slow! It was a Tuesday night and not crowded at all. It took 40 minutes to get our appetizer! When dinner finally arrived we had been there for an hour and a half. They brought out my dinner companions plate, and while he ate, I waited another fifteen minutes for my dinner.
But the worst was the amount of flies in the restaurant!! They seemed to be never ending and I wondered if we should have requested a table for two or one for 10 to accommodate our FLY dinner companions!! When I asked the waitress why so many flies, she suggested that next time we place an order on the phone and come in an hour to pick it up and take it home to eat!! She said that it was because they had no vent in the kitchen so when it gets Smokey from cooking, they have to open the front door! So naturally, the flies bring all their friends and neighbors to join in trying out the buffet from table to table.
Sadly, I will be looking for a favorite Chinese food place as this one just didn’t make me want to return.

Best Chinese restaurant in town. Authentic Cantonese foods, roast duck, rice rolls, stir fry beef rice noodles and Szechuan beef, all have the right flavor. Newly renovated interior and friendly services and the price is good. Will come back again.

On the positive side, the staff was friendly and attentive throughout. Also, the egg rolls and pot stickers were wonderful. Menu is packed with so many items, makes it hard to choose.

On the downside, we saw where customers got the wrong order twice during our visit and although our orders were correct, items we chose were not available, such as the twice-cooked pork. Men’s bathroom soap dispenser was out of soap and floor was sticky. Their ring tone for delivery is too loud for the room and detracts from the atmosphere.

I had always been a fan of the previous Hong Kong restaurant so I was delighted to find out that the restaurant opened with new management and a fresh new menu.

Was excited to try it but when I walked in the person behind the counter was more occupied playing on his phone, didn’t even ask us if we were eating in or taking out like every other restaurant, and didn’t motion to hand us the menu until I went to go grab the paper menu they had at the counter.

I ordered the lotus root stir fry with Chinese sausage, lotus leaf fried rice with Chinese sausage, and the shrimp rice noodles. The lotus root stir fry tasted purely like msg and salt and the shrimp rice noodles tasted like soap sometimes. I never got the lotus leaf fried rice even after being approached if I was okay if they can replace the meat with just more Chinese sausage which I agreed to. Instead of telling us that the food will be late or just giving us the fried rice, the same person behind the counter (who was also my server) came over and placed down our bill and never asked me if we even got everything and it felt like he wanted me to leave.

Checking the bill, I was charged still for the lotus leaf fried rice even though I never got it and I even asked about it twice but never got it. Plus it was a hassle to even ask them to remove it because with the horrible server and one of the chefs coming out and coughing aggressively in his hands in the hallway, I was no longer in the mood to eat.

I was skeptical at first because some of the reviews aren’t very good. However, I noticed that most of those reviews were from a while back and there is this sign “under new ownership” in front of the restaurant so I decided to give it try.

I’m so glad I did. This restaurant is now one of my most favourite Chinese restaurants. Being an Asian myself, my standard for Asian food is very high and this restaurant easily reaches it.

The food is delicious and authentic. I loved everything I tried so far. The amount is huge. With around $10-15, you get one big dish (that I have to ask for take away boxes both times I’ve been there). The restaurant is clean and spacious and, on top of that, they have one of the nicest and friendliest staff I’ve seen. I’ll definitely come back to eat here again.

So I went in around 9pm for late night dinner. Ended up ordering salt & pepper wings and sticky rice and bbq pork. My spouse got soup dumplings and wan ton soup.
The order took about 30 minutes. Not bad of a wait. The salt & pepper wings I got were basic wings that were super crunchy and juicy in the inside with some type of chili and fried onion for a topping .I got the 8 piece 12.99 meal. The sticky rice was more was mushy.
The Won Ton soup was the steal for everything we got. The won tons had so much flavor, the soup had veggies in it no other places have. The brotha tasted like no other, and the price was worth the quantity .Then the bbq pork tasted like braised pork belly. And or soup dumplings tasted bland, the soup dumplings were the go to.
Other than that, the atmosphere was nice and big. Spacious, and clean. Looks kid friendly, had a tv in the back corner. Bathrooms for paying customer. And is in a surrounding area of other food and restaurants parking lot area. Plenty of parking. Definitely got what we paid for. So if you expect more, find another place.

The New Hong Kong restaurant in the Raley’s plaza is open now! The worker there said they had their first day on Wednesday, June 18, so they’re fully open for business! They have a new menu with a lot of different food for Merced, especially authentic Chinese dishes! I got the bacon fried rice, and I’d rate it a high 9/10! For the soup dumplings, it took a little while for them to come out, but they were still good too! The pork buns were also pretty nice as well! The price was definitely worth it though for everything!
