OMG! That’s all I can say. Food is DELICIOUS! Got the oxtails with rice, collard greens and baked beans food was fresh out nice and hot. They also have a variety of juices and the pineapple lemonade did not disappoint. Also had the cat fish with cabbage and million dollar Mac n cheese and it definitely lives up to its name. I Will definitely be back very soon.

I ordered the catfish with macaroni and cheese and collard greens. The fish was very fresh and perfectly seasoned, placed on a bed of yellow rice. The mac was delicious and had the quintessential cheese pull. Greens were cooked flawlessly. I can tell this food is made with love. The meal included a sweet potato cornbread muffin, which in my opinion beats a lot of restaurants desserts. It was so good I ordered an extra one. To wash all this down, I got a pineapple lemonade that deserves to be sold in stores. The staff is friendly and provided a welcoming atmosphere. If I could give this place more stars I would. Definitely coming back whenever I am able to.

My first time tasting their food and it was not a good experience. Don’t believe the hype. The chicken was not fresh, the macaroni, yams, and cornbread were dryer than the Sahara Desert. It all seemed like it was warmed up from the previous day, so maybe I shouldn’t have gotten there when they first opened. The yellow rice was decent, though.

Had an amazing experience at M&R Café Southern Cuisine. The food was absolutely delicious and full of real Southern flavor. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. The portions were generous and the service was friendly and welcoming. You can tell they really care about their customers and the quality of their food. I will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend if you are looking for authentic Southern cooking.

I cannot say enough about the food they serve here. It’s fantastic! We had fried shrimp with jerk sauce and baked turkey wings. Both delicious. We drove from Sarasota to eat here, TikTok recommendation, well worth it. Strawberry crunch cake, moist flavorful and not overly sweet. Jerk sauce was top notch. Mango tea was fire. Yellow rice was cooked and seasoned perfectly.Service was friendly and welcoming. Only negative, over priced. I feel if the owner got her food costs under control she would be unstoppable! We will be back again no doubt.

First time tonight. Great atmosphere. Nicest women with teeth braces was very welcoming who took my order. Met the owner and very friendly aswell. Tried the oxtails, greens and Mac n cheese. 5 star. Definitely authentic, fresh and contagious. I will return and highly recommend.

I ordered Oxtails,includes yellow rice and 2 sides, I had greens and potato salad, and a sweet potato muffin. I also added a side of Mac n cheese, mango tea and red velvet. Total was $65 and it was worth every last penny!
This food is cooked perfect. All of the season and flavor is just right. The potato salad had egg. The oxtail were meaty not fatty.. I did take off for location but Im glad I put that aside and didn’t let that stop me from ordering. There was a 30min wait for the food but again it was worth it. Great job to M&R

Was down in, Tampa for work from duval Loved the oxtails an rice real flavorful an tender, Yams were really good i love mine sweet most places dont make them to sweet so everyone will eat them but these were really good. The greens were flavorful just wish I had hot sauce. Saw they had turkey wings another gentleman was there eating an suggested them I’ll get some when I go back down there.
