I stopped going to the Newington location because I found that something was different about the flavor of The food that I have been getting for so many years. So I went to the Glastonbury restaurant and was Very pleased except for one issue, the sweet potatoes that I got was only half of the size that I would normally get in Newington. The flavor was 100% on point with all the items I got. I will be returning to this location.

Always a favorite spot for me and my friends. We come here especially for the Brussels sprouts. We literally cannot get enough of them or the salty, lime chips. The nachos they make are out of this world, really everything they make is, honestly. If you’re not eating there, you’re missing out.

AWESOME!! El Pollo Guapo in Glastonbury is great!!! You have to try it. Very friendly counter service. Dazed and Confused Rice Bowl is one the best taste experiences ever. So much going on in there, a different flavor in every bite. It is a good size bowl for lunch. Spicy Taco is great as well. Very tasty but very messy to eat. Rice side with Tacos is ok. Inside is plain and simple with a few tables in the back. Would definitely go back.

I’ve already been a longtime fan of El Pollo Guapo, even before the Glastonbury location opened. But recently, I used them for a corporate catering event and they were phenomenal! The food was delicious, they thought of everything as far as plates & utensils, and Kayla was a dream to work with. Highly recommend!

I’m gonna start with saying the food is delicious. I absolutely love the plantains and the brussels sprouts. The major issue is that the food is often oversalted. And despite how tasty it is, it seems a bit overpriced at $14+ a bowl. Honestly, you are better served at chipotle.

We frequent El Pollo Guapo often for takeout. Fresh ingredients, great quality. The food is delicious, with layers and layers of flavors. Menu-wise, the restaurant’s primary focus is house made rotisserie chicken in tacos, bowls, salads or as an entrée with sides. Portion size is perfect. Rice Bowls are a fav, we got a Custom Almost Legal and Arroz Con Pollo bowls. Split a Special Brownie for dessert, you wont regret it. The staff is hard working & always friendly. This is a covid 19 takeout review. All food is eaten fresh in the vehicle. This was amazing. I got the almost legal bowl, a spicy Taco, and the fat potatoes. Everything was over the top great. The bowl was loaded with flavorful items and the results were outstanding. The spicy Taco was great. And the fat potatoes rounded it all out beautifully. I highly recommend this place. On a scale from 0-10 I would rate this 10. I don’t know what they could do better.

First, I want to preface this with the fact that I gave the Wethersfield location 5 stars (Wethersfield location has moved to main st. Newington). This location is run by unprofessionals that forget the customer should not be questioned on matters of taste. I told them the first tacos I got were ice cold, they told me they were not 3 times, they also used assumptions and gave me the wrong tacos. If I was wrong, then why were the reordered tacos deliberately piping hot like they should be? Also, the music in the dining room was inappropriately loud, just like the overly tinted windowed camry that pulls up to me at the stop light on park street in Hartford. My experience was a nightmare and I can only recommend this place to a 12-17 year old who doesn’t care how their food tastes as long as the music is loud enough to annoy everyone but them and the unprofessional workers in the kitchen.

This spot is the absolute bomb. I’d been dying to get here for many months and after three visits I’m pleased to share that this place great. The food is delicious. Lots of flavor, high-quality products and consistent. The service is quick and the folks that work there are nice. The nachos and arroz con pollo are some of my favorites. These days it’s super hard to find a great place to eat, make sure to put this place on your “to go” list!
