From the street I would have never guessed how spacious this restaurant is. Normally if a restaurant has a view it seems the food is reheated preprepared frozen food, but this place is clearly fresh made. The food was tasty, cooked very well, and the staff were very friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Options to dine inside or outside, as well as a covered outdoor bar with TV’s. The outdoor seating was spacious as well so you still felt a sense of intimacy.

I went here for my birthday dinner. We made reservations. I may was expecting a more a more upscale setting but it very nice and has very nice lake front view. We did sit on the inside. I thought the food was okay. My mom and fiancé really like their meals. My dad did not eat his. Our waitress was very kind. I have nothing negative say and would definitely recommend going and giving a try for yourself.

First time at Frigates and it wasn’t as good as I expected. The outdoor seating view was very nice and tranquil, but the Florida humidity made it less enjoyable—I’d probably sit inside next time. No wait to be seated, which was a plus.
The menu felt limited for a seafood restaurant. We started with fried calamari, and for drinks, I tried the frozen creamsicle (like an orange creamsicle with vodka)—fun and tasty. I ordered the Spicy Mediterranean Bowl with shrimp and scallops over pasta, but it didn’t really feel Mediterranean aside from the feta. My husband enjoyed his grilled salmon.
We had planned to order dessert, but our server brought the check without asking. When the flourless chocolate cake came out, the spoons were placed directly over the chocolate syrup—messy and careless. After asking for new spoons, no apology was offered.
Overall, nice setting, average food, and disappointing service. Probably won’t return.

Our first time visiting Melbourne, I was looking for a waterfront place to eat. This place couldn’t have been more perfect it was a gorgeous day, we were seated in the upper patio. I had the Seminole role, and a lemon raspberry martini, my husband had the mahi tacos with sweet potato fries. Our server Grant was friendly, informative and attentive, food and drink was fabulous. Everything exceeded expectations and we thought we were in paradise, well we actually were in paradise!! ❤️

What an extremely pleasant surprise!!! We are staying October month in Vero and drove up to Melbourne for a flea market and an early dinner. We read about this restaurant online and thought we would give it a try; so very glad we did. What’s not to like?; Large patio areas along the water with lots or tables, palm trees, very attentive waiters/servers, great food served piping hot, and a great key lime pie dessert. Again, if you are in the Melbourne area, please eat at this restaurant; you will not be disappointed.

Stopped in to try out their brunch today. I feel like it’s prerty worth it- especially with the variety of options and the unlimited crab legs. The fresh pasta station was probably my favorite. $5 mimosas and sangria were a nice treat. I’ve heard it can get pretty busy the later it is. I was there from around 10am to 11:30am and there were few available tables by the time I left.
If it’s a nice day out (like it was today) you will feel like you’re just having a gorgeous and relaxing time by the water. I like that the music was loud enough to hear, but still served more as background noise. You can easily carry on a conversation.

Decided last minute to try them based on their reviews. Its the start to my birthday “month” festivities, and Frigate’s didnt disappoint. Sarah was a great waitress, attentive and food choices, blackened chicken mac and cheese, coconut shrimp bowl, we’ll be back. Thanks for a positive dining experience. Returned 2 weeks later with friends for lunch, and still an awesome experience. Ally was a gem. Very attentive to our needs even our pup Chase. We will be back.

Service was amazing! Food was outstanding! Came for Sunday brunch with a large party for a birthday! Everything was set up great. All of the cooks were very quick and attentive. My wife has celiac and a shellfish allergy and the care they took for her was amazing!

This is one of my top three favorite places to go. Recently I went here with my sister because it was her birthday and the Sunday brunch was absolutely amazing as it always is. Melissa, one of the managers, came by our table to check on us and she was so sweet. We then started complimenting the food when the CHEF KEITH walked by and he gave us some insight on his dishes which was so nice of him. Turns out he created everything on the menu which is so impressive! Alex & Ray at the pasta and waffle station (I cant remember who made what) served up the absolute best pasta I have ever had in my life and my sister loved the waffles! At the meat station the meat was SO JUICY and tender. Shout of to all of these great cooks! The woman at the omlette station was also nice but I didn’t get her name. Our waitress Alyssa was amazing as well. Overall thank you all so much for everything, we will be back! (I think i got everyone’s names right. It’s been a couple weeks and I already feel like I got them mixed up lol)
Also, just a side note! This was not my first time here. Their lamb chops are to die for, Sushi is 10 out of 10, Mediterranean bowl is chef’s kiss, and every brunch on Sunday is to die for especially Easter Sunday and things like father’s day. This place never misses.
