We loved this place so much we came twice and would have came here a third time but we were too embarrassed.

The food was just phenomenal. We were two adults and two kids and we absolutely loved it. The first time we came early and got straight in but the second time we came just after 7pm and had to wait about 30 minutes outside. But it was absolutely worth the wait.

Our 8 year old devoured the Butter Chicken. We had several starters and mains. All were unreal. Highly recommend.

Top 5 best curry I’ve ever had. Definitely top 2 outside of the UK, all the food was bursting with flavour, meat was tender and the bread was soft on top with a nice crunch underneath. If you like curries and you’re in Albufeira then this is a must eat location!!!

We had a wonderful meal at this halal Indian restaurant. The food was full of flavour with just the right amount of spice-perfectly balanced and satisfying. It’s a fine dining spot, and although it was really busy every time we visited, the service was still excellent. They had plenty of staff on hand, and everything ran smoothly. A great choice for anyone looking for quality Indian cuisine in a lively, well-run setting.

Friendly staff, good food and classy atmosphere. I found it overpriced thought, compared to other Indian places I know near Paris or the east side of France.
I had the mango lassi, mushroom curry and aubergine dish + mushroom rice and special rice.
I could not identify the eggplant in the dish (it was probably crushed), mushroom dish and mushroom rice were delicious.
I would probably go somewhere else but most because I think I can get the same quality for a cheaper price in this area.

Tried this after a recommendation from the guy on reception at Grand Mathu Oura Hotel. Did not disappoint, my son and I had a fantastic meal. Lamb madras was superb. Naan bread was light, crispy and fluffy.

Hand down .. or hands up I mean. This is by far, the best Indian restaurant I’ve ever visited.
The food here is incredible. Really good and really tasty. The portions are perfect, the combination of taste, atmosphere, spice and everything melts together to something incredible.

The service is fast, kids friendly and the restaurant is clean and nice.

The only reason I cannot give this restaurant 5 stars, is because of the noise.
The Clay Oven should really invest in acoustics. Everything here was so good! Would rate this restaurant 4.8/5 stars.

We ordered the mixed tandoori grill plate, which was so tasty. Normally I don’t eat lamb – but I tried.. and it was so delicious. The chicken was soft, tender and moist.
Now I’m drooling again..

Our kids shared a chicken korma. The beat korma I’ve ever tasted. So rich, fresh and oh my god.. so good..

The Naan bread was amazing too.
My wife got the butter chicken, which was also good. Very tasty, but we all agreed that daddy’s Butter chicken I better

Feel free to check out my recipe on Instagram- @foodbymilbo

This our third time to Albufeira and it has become a must to visit the Clay Oven.

What an amazing place, decorated nicely.

Now this place is always busy don’t let that put you off they have an army of kitchen staff which you can see in the open plan kitchen.

Again the good was amazing and this time we took more people that had not been before, they loved it also.

Everything is bursting with flavour. We had a range of things from Butter Chicken, Butter Paneer, Chicken Kahri, balti chicken and korma.

Naan breads amazing as usual and the tandoori and tikka chicken was also amazing.

You can easily see why this place has been open for more than 20 years.

Today we were a table of nine.

Been to the clay oven three times now and we will most definitely be back as this place is truly amazing.

I really can not put into words how fantastic this place is, great service and nice portions.

Keep doing what you are doing guys!!!

Just a tip: water can be a bit pricey, around 3€ for a small bottle, so it’s wise to bring your own. The restaurant is a bit pricey.

Be prepared for a wait as it’s often packed. They even have an adjacent building to accommodate the crowd, though it lacks some ambiance. The food is absolutely delightful, making the wait worthwhile. The warm welcome from the owner and his son, along with the charming lady who may be the manager, creates a homely atmosphere. I savored baigan ka bharta with butter naan and raita on the side, perfectly spiced and delicious.

This is one of the finest Indian restaurants i have ever been to! The service was very good first off. The place looked amazing and had a great atmosphere. You have to go early 6-7:30 to get seated straight away as you can’t book. The food was amazing it really was! Portugal can handle there heat so the medium spiced dish was pretty warm more like a hot at home but it was still very nice dont get me wrong. The Prawn Puri for starter was simply perfection in every way! I would highly recommend this place its a must try
