Cook Street Café in Michigan City is everything you want in a breakfast and early lunch spot — bright, welcoming, and full of personality (yes, the horoscopes on the menu reeled me in, and I have no regrets).
I took the astrological advice and ordered the Austin tacos — made to order, fresh, and layered with flavor. But the real magic? I’m convinced it’s in the salsa. Founder Mike clearly brings something special to the table — there’s a story in that salsa, and you can taste it in every bite.
Love finding places where the food has heart and the people behind it clearly care. Hats off to Mike and the team — can’t wait to come back and see what the stars suggest next time.

Its great if its a nice day seating is outside the foos is absolutely great. I dont like eggs and their eggs are wonderful!!! Loved the apple butter with out toast. So amazingly good

You MUST get the roadie sandwich. It was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. It’s worth driving out for. The place itself has ample seating, shade, and even lawn chairs around fire pits. Connect four and corn hole. Such a great spot!!

Very convenient being able to walk to a high quality food truck right outside your hotel room. The atmosphere was nice and the owner was very friendly. My wife said the breakfast sandwich with the strawberry jalapeño jam was the best she’s ever had.

Ordered a bacon “ Roadie Sandwich” and it was absolutely delicious. You order at the food truck and then can eat at the nicely done outdoor area. Large group Picnic tables with covered awnings or choose the (2) firepit areas with chairs. Would 100% recommend

If you haven’t tried the Cook Street Cafe, you’re missing out! Located at 4411 Inn & Suites, this food truck offers some great items. This morning, I had the Long Beach Breakfast Burrito and it was ! It is filling and a nice blend of flavors….eggs, hash browns, chorizo all wrapped up in a handy burrito! YUM!!
