Niemerg’s Steakhouse opened September 1, 1978. We are a locally owned, independent restaurant proud to have served over twenty-four million customers over the last 40 years. A proud tradition we have adhered to over the years has been the preparation of more made – from – scratch food items in grandmother’s style than any other restaurant in the area. We make all of our own salads, many of our salad dressings, daily luncheon and dinner specials, and numerous baked goods which would make any grandmother proud. We are now offering many Heartland Angus Beef cuts. Incredibly tender. Naturally juicy. Abundantly flavorful. We are very pleased and proud to offer the best beef money can buy to our valued customers. Heartland Angus Beef is the hi…

Great burgers & we always great to have Olivia take care of us!!
Sierra is consistently pleasant!! All of our food was really wonderful as well. They often have interesting specials. The prices are always reasonable, much better value for the money than fast food!!
Olivia took great care of us & our food was delicious!
Sierra was fabulous tonight. The place was packed and she was still awesome!
Olivia is always wonderful! She always has great ideas on what to order too.
We went twice. Once for supper and once for breakfast.
For supper, I got the fried chicken and my wife got the beef medallions. The fried chicken was some of the best I have ever had. The medallions were tender and cooked perfectly. Both meals came with a salad bar, which was great.
For breakfast, I got the #4, which is bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, gravy and toast. I swapped out the toast for a biscuit. The eggs were perfect, the bacon was crispy and abundant and the biscuit was as good as I’ve ever had.
My wife got the Heavy Duty breakfast, which was similar to mine, but pancakes instead of gravy and larger portions of everything. She said it was amazing.
The coffee is very mild with no bitterness, which was nice.
We will be back.
The restaurant said something like country fresh, and so I assumed the mashed potatoes were real. They were either box or mixed with box potatoes and not to my liking. I heard certain regions prefer it that way, so I would like to give the benefit of the doubt and say it is my fault for not asking. I did not care for the brown gravy either. The salad was good and decently portioned. The steak was seasoned and cooked to the right temperature- but it really wasn’t scored and seared how it should be. It looked rather unappealing (the picture makes it look better than in-person), and the fat was too soft to eat. The main portion was rather good and filling for the price, though. The banana pie with merangie topping was tasty, and I would go back to try all their other options to see which I like the best. I also want to try their caramel milkshake. I took two cookies to go as well, and they are well worth the price…such a delight!
We will be back! Thank you
