Sadly, Buon Appetito permanently closed on 3/25/25. The owner will not be reopening at another location. This charming family restaurant will be missed. Everything is homemade, made to order, exactly how you love it. Really delicious! This food is not to be missed. I had the homemade pasta primavera. The veggies were so fresh, I think they were picked this morning. Wonderful marinara sauce. My friend had the sauce “a la rosa” which is a lovely combination of alfredo and marinara. It was super. The pizza is fabulous and the tiramisu is spectacular. So glad I found this little gem.

Happened to be in area and found this out of the way Italian restaurant. Had lunch ordered two 10″ pizzas , $10 each plus extra ingredients. Very very good and larger than 10″. Noticed there we’re a lot of orders for veal parmesan sandwiches. Got one to go. It was excellent. Real veal not the frozen patties. For $10. The service was fast and courteous. Could use a little sprucing up.

Best Italian restaurant around! Since going to Italy, I’ve been trying to find a restaurant that makes fresh handmade pasta! This is the place! I’ve been here 4 times now and it never disappoints. Not to mention, the prices are very affordable and I love how casual the restaurant is. Highly recommend:)

First, a comment on my service rating for this restaurant. I dinged the service a bit because we were seated immediately when we arrived and the restaurant was not busy at all. Shortly after we arrived, two more tables were filled and those tables had their drink orders taken and delivered before our drink order was taken. Sorry, but that is a sticky point for me and impacts first experiences. The couple at the table next to us observed the disservice and said, “you may have to flag them down”. Just take notice and don’t let that happen to your customers.
We both ordered wine and some water.
We had a wonderful meal. We started with the home made bruschetta and a salad. Both were very good. We both had bolognese with different pastas. The sauce was delicious and the pasta was very tender (fresh). We ended the meal with a slice of cheese cake and a cannoli and both were yummy.
The check out did have its issues.
First, the bill did not show the tax amount. It just listed the dishes we had and then a total. I did not like this. ☹️
Second, we used a CC to pay for the bill and they added a 3% service charge without telling us they would do that. I did not like that either. ☹️
Third, yeah, there is a third issue but I will not share the details here. It did impact my review of this establishment. ☹️
The food was good but I would probably choose another restaurant for Italian food before returning here.

This is definitely a hidden gem! Best Italian food in SWFL! The owner is incredibly nice and the food has soooo much flavor! Absolutely love it every time we go!

Not sure what all the hype is. This place is overpriced for the quality. I was happy to support a small business but disappointed by the food. The ceaser salad had no croutons was just lettuce drowning in bottled dressing, they forgot the anchovies I asked for. The shrimp scampi came out more like soup. The shrimp was over cooked and rubbery, the flavor was okay but nothing to write home about. $28 bucks for underwhelming food.

Quaint little local restaurant with great food, friendly staff, and cozy, intimate atmosphere. I had the chicken lasagna, which was excellent, as was the wine. The bread tasted like they baked it there. This cafe serves lunch & dinner. Definitely will return!

The food was absolutely delicious. If you have ever been in Italy you know that this is real Italian food. We had a wonderful dinner and enjoyed the Italian wine and the atmosphere of a little place. We will def come back again.
