We started with two chicken chaat, which were lovely and definitely the highlight of the meal. However, the rest of the experience went downhill from there.
I ordered the chicken bhuna at medium spice, but it arrived mild and overly sweet. I raised the issue with the staff, and while they did offer a 10% discount, I would have preferred for the dish to be remade to match my request. Unfortunately, that wasn’t offered.
The chips were thick-cut and dry, the boiled rice was clearly reheated and tasteless, and the garlic naan didn’t taste like garlic at all. It was drenched in butter, making it soggy and inedible for the most part.
At £43, the food was both overpriced and of poor quality. The ingredients lacked flavor, and it felt like a total waste of money.
On top of that, the atmosphere was fine, but one of the waitresses hovered around our table uncomfortably throughout the meal. This gave the experience an awkward vibe.
The bathrooms were appalling, with spiders and a flashing LED light that posed a serious risk for me as I’m epileptic. I also had to clean my own table with a wipe because it felt sticky before we even sat down. The image will show you all of the brown gunk that wiped off.
Sadly, this visit was a huge disappointment, and I won’t be returning. There are better alternatives in the area, like Bombay Palace, that offer a far superior experience.
The food though is the star , it was the best Indian food I’ve had, the food was excellently seasoned. There was a large stick of cinnamon in the pilau which is a touch that goes far in saying how much care the chefs place in the cooking and it’s quality.
To finish this food is great value.
Three curries, two pilau, excellent keema naan, 6 onion bajis, one chicken pakora, 5 popadoms and chutneys.
Three large cokes, two glasses of wine and two coffees.
£80 awesome value, I recommend this place to anyone you will have a great meal.
3rd in mains i orderd lamb curry with 2 nans … naans were just beautifully made .. nor too soft not too hard .. it was just perfect … i told him to make it mild hot .. right ,now mild hot means u can make it a bit chilly with 1 or 2 green chillies .. but they put too much masala in it or mabe red chilli powder .. which just ruined the taste of curry .. all i can take was masala .. i know they just warmed up the curry n did a tarka od piaz (onion) n green pepper (shimla mirch) .. but atleast dont make too much masala powder … the original taste of curry was just lost … so for staff ☆☆☆☆☆
For food over all no stars at all … not recomended…
