Went to Crabby Jack’s after being given a 1 hour and 40 min wait for a table for 2 at the Crab Trap! Kinda what we expected. Staff could be a bit friendlier to be honest.
It would be a great idea to let people who are waiting for a table, know that they can go to the bar while they wait and buy a drink or 2. Why lose on the extra revenue??? We had to figure it out and head over ourselves.

However, the highlight for us what the entertainment that evening. I believe his name was Doug Jennings. This guy was great! very talented AND a great personality. It helped to make us feel like we were on vacation. very mellow and laidback, and a great voice. PLUS he played instruments! It made waiting the 30 min for our table that much more bearable. The 5 ATMOSPHERE stars were for the music. 🙂

Crabby Jack’s is our go-to spot in Somers Point, NJ! With amazing waterfront views just across the bridge from Ocean City, the location and live music create an unbeatable vibe. Food and drinks are consistently excellent, and while service can be a bit slow due to the crowd, the staff is super friendly. Parking fills up fast, but the overflow lot helps. We’ve visited multiple times and always look forward to going back!

There’s not a better place in Somers Point to enjoy a great view and a great drink! Get here early so you can get a spot overlooking the water. You won’t regret it!

Made a stop on a beautiful September Saturday afternoon. Great place to sit relax and look at the scenery. Great selection of mixed beachy drinks and good raw bar. The food is good not great. Bathrooms are not at the bar. You either have to walk to the main restaurant or use the neighboring motels outside restrooms. Plenty of parking but no handicap spaces up close. Service was ok. We did only order appetizers this time but we did have to ask for plates.

We were trying for the Crab trap but the weight was too long, then we saw crabby jacks on the water behind the restaurant. Great little place, outdoor dining, good bar food. My husband and I had salads and our friends had fried shrimp and crab cakes. All delicious and good value for the amount of food.

It’s a pretty cool place on the water. Menu isn’t that great. General pub fare. Fried shrimp were good, potato salad was outstanding, and the Angus burger was D.R.Y.
Our waitress was really nice. Parking is terrible!! Lot is too small. Music was outstanding (9/19/25).
I can’t say with certainty that I would return.

Tried this place because we usually go to the Crab Trap just to mix it up. Unfortunately wasn’t that good. My husbands clams on half shell and lobster roll were very good . My shrimp cocktail was not fresh and my crab cake was just ok, it was very mushy which was a turnoff. Cocktails were just plain bad. We took a piece of banana cream pie to go , that was very good . One and done for this place .

Service and location are great. Nice view of the bay. Food wasn’t exactly 5 star. I like my fried fish flacky and my fried flounder could not be cut with the plastic silverware they give you. I had to break it apart with my hands and eat it like chicken nuggets. Not a bad place to pull you boat or motorcycle up to though and have a snack and drink.

Perfect outdoor restaurant for seafood and drinks. Had their oysters and flounder previously, no pictures, but I remember they were both delicious.
Service can be crazy at times, so be prepared.
