Mixed experience overall. The chicken parmesan was the standout, really well done with a delicious fettuccine alongside it. Unfortunately, the chicken piccata was disappointingly bland. The chicken, potatoes, and beans all had the same one-note flavor, and I ended up adding a good amount of red pepper flakes just to liven it up. The garlic bread was also a letdown. It was essentially a hoagie roll with a sprinkle of Kraft parmesan and barely any garlic flavor, which is hard to justify at $10.
The seating was another miss. Despite having a reservation, we were placed between the bar and the host stand where people wait to be seated. It felt cramped and offered zero privacy, not the kind of dining experience you’d expect when you’ve booked ahead.
One good dish isn’t enough to bring me back at these prices.

I love this place, tonight was my second time visiting, I sat the bar instead of a table this time and my experience with Alyssa was great! We started with the salads, an artichoke/spinach dip, got the crispy fried mozzarella and two espresso martini. Our last courses were the Alfredo and Pasta Primavera which I paired with the sangiovese, a favorite of mine. My party explored dessert, the last time they enjoyed the creme brulee. I thank everyone for their service, and the host’s grace, we had a great time together!

The food seemed reasonably priced and tasted fantastic, especially the pasta. Unfortunately the space for our large party was too small as we bumped elbows with minimal table space. The restaurant is loud, hard to have a conversation. In this day and age I can’t understand why the bill can’t be separated no matter what size party. Giant hassle.

We ordered take out, the african american girl on the phone sounded annoyed and didn’t know any Italian names for the dishes, had to repeat everything twice with the english translation Pizzas were smaller than regular size, truffle oil missing, crust barely chewable, my risotto had overcooked regular rice, no truffle oil again but the taste was good overall. You think 13+$ Cheesecake Factory cheesecake is kinda pricey, how about 12$ cheesecake slice with absolutely no flavor, do not recommended! Overall not the best food and experience, not sure I can recommend this place for good Italian food cause it really isn’t, iykyk

My mother and I went here for dinner and we were floored at the service. Our server was nice, attentive, and accommodating. We had the seasonal pizza, garlic bread with ricotta honey spread, and risotto! If you’re looking for a good Italian place, with a cute patio over looking 9 mile in Ferndale, you need to check this place out! Also, super cute murals painted on the inside!

This is the best Italian I’ve tried so far in the Metro Detroit area. Good portion to cost ratio, absolutely delicious, wonderful service (Ryan and Trey at the bar took excellent care of us), and a nice ambiance. Couldn’t ask for much more out of a dining experience!

I’ve been dining here for years, and everytime, Pop’s exceeds my expectations. The flavors, new menu items, service and cleanliness remain consistently top-notch and keep us coming back. Tonight was no exception.
We came in to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and Justin (along with the Ferndale choir) made the night absolutely unforgettable. He made sure our drinks were always full, timed the courses perfectly, and even surprised us with a beautifully presented dessert with a birthday touch that made the evening feel extra special.
If you’re dining here, ask for Justin… he’s the kind of server who turns a nice dinner into a night you’ll actually remember!

Great place. We were there at 3pm on a Saturday. Which was a great time because it picked up around 5pm. Everyone was pleased with their entrees and they sent a piece a cake out for two of us so we’re celebrating our birthdays. The music was a bit loud so you have to talk loud but we had a wonderful time. I’ll be back for sure.

I visited Pop’s about a month ago for a girls’ night, and we had a wonderful experience. The food was excellent, and our server, Nick, provided outstanding service. We started with appetizers, and he allowed us the perfect amount of time to enjoy them before taking our dinner order. Each course was served with excellent timing, and the drinks were equally impressive. We truly appreciated the attentive and professional service Nick provided and look forward to returning soon.
