Being as this is one of two Indian restaurants in the area and I’d already been to Bombay Bistro plenty of times, I wanted to give Shalimar a try. I found the lunch buffet to be lacking in vegetarian options and the flavors weren’t really to my liking. This isn’t to say the food isn’t good it’s just different from what I like so I doubt I’ll be back. Aside from this, the service was okay. Not amazing but not bad either.

Had never tried Indian food before, but can say I will be going back.. Very soon. While I found what I can only assume to be traditional music playing on the tv above the bar to be annoying and distracting, the food and service more than made up for it. Our waitress was more than polite, and steered us in the right direction with her recommendations.

I have only been to this restaurant for the lunch menu, so I have not tried there dinner menu. The food itself is relatively spot on and an accurate representation of authentic Indian food. The lunch serves a buffet (similar to the Bombay Bistro) and has a mix of about 3-4 main dishes, supplemented by numerous sauces, bread, and appetizers. There aren’t really many options for Indian food int he area, but luckily this place is good. There buffet is well managed and they have good quality foods on it. It isn’t the best I’ve ever had, but it is really good. The service is good and always friendly.

This is happy food because it’s so good it puts you in a good mood. The food at Shalimar is AMAZING! It is so flavorful and heavenly that you will want to PIG OUT, but the best part is that if you do pig out you don’t feel sick afterwards. You feel rejuvenated and happy after eating their food. Everything is always good, fresh and hot. They use so many fresh herbs and spices that everything is extremely flavorful. It is addictive. This is some of the best food in the Sandhills, no doubt about it.

Timing says upto 9:30. We reached at 9:05 after ordering on our way at 8:45. Still not let us sit even though we had 4 little kids and said we wont be ordering more food. Never had any inconsiderate restaurant when we reached well before closing time. Overpriced below par food

they charged me tip $2.82 without asking me as well as when I called themWHEN I SAY MY CREIT CARD STAEMENT they said it it 18% it is in there manu so it is compulsary this is firST resutarant I show they took the tip from yur card without even you knowing , service was poor i have to ask for starter which is free after waiting for 20 min . they do not care the owner daughter is only person servining table she will not give you bill copy only yur credit card recipt be careful .
