We enjoyed a nice evening and dinner at Smokey Dog BBQ. The food came out quicker than expected and was cooked to perfection. The rack of ribs had a delicate, smoky flavor. The sides were also very good. We stayed in the dining area ‘til closing time. The only downside was that our party was not offered refills for the drinks ( soda, sweet tea, and water) during our stay there. Aside from that, service was good and the meal was delicious.

Best BBQ I have had in a long time. Catered my 60th birthday and was a big hit. The chicken wings were off the charts. Pulled pork melted in your mouth. Brisket was moist and flavorful. Sides were Mac/cheese and baked beans which were 100% gone. Delivery and set up were great. The cost was more than reasonable. Very attentive to my requests. HIGHLY recommend

This little restaurant that used to be the River’s Edge restaurant is an amazing sports bar. Now with fantastic barbecue, it doesn’t matter. If you are getting the brisket or the ribs, the baked beans the coleslaw or the chili is amazing. Their beef stew is some of the best that I’ve ever had from a restaurant. If you call ahead, you can buy in bulk. For example, you can buy a pound of brisket if you want. They just need a little bit of notice for you before you show up. The attitude of the waitresses and the ownership here. It’s really top-notch and I would recommend this restaurant to anybody that loves barbecue. A jukebox plenty of TV’s and in all around great atmosphere. I drive a truck for a living. And I have been to a lot of places in my lifetime. We went for dinner, we shared a Rib platter and some jalapeno poppers and salad. Then we tried the Nutty Buddy dessert. Everything was delicious. The smoke flavor was excellent and the meat came off the bone. The poppers were not breaded and wrapped in Bacon absolutely delicious. The green beans are awesome too! You should give it a try! Taking into consideration the cost of doing business today and being able to pay a decent wage, we thought the prices were appropriate for the awesome food!

We got take out and our meal was missing BBQ sauce. Got the pulled pork sandwich and 40% of the meat was hunks of fat. I would expect minimal fat when ordering pulled pork. It was a rip off what I paid considering how much edible meat was left. The sides were decent.

First time we went there, they had run out of most entrees. Second time we went there, food was good, needed some seasoning, service was slow. Third time, service good, hubbys food good, mine was burnt to a crisp. Literally served me charcoal. Manager apologized and offered a replacement, but i did not accept. He claimed there was a problem with the grill, it was to hot. In my opinion there were several problems, 1) grill to hot. 2) cook still served a piece of charcoal 3) waitress did not notice how black the entree was.

We got the mixed meat sliders. Plenty of meat on them and they were moist with great flavor on Hawaiian style buns. The green beans were great and the spicy slaw was spicy which was loved by our Spicy lover. The sweet bbq sauce had a hint of vinegar maybe … but was great on all three meats. The smoked apple crisp (get it with the ice cream!) was great. We shared one and it was plenty. I might need to come back alone just for that. Catherine was our waitress…. nice job, Catherine!

We love Smokey Dog! They have our favorite wings and pulled pork sandwiches! It’s legit SMOKEY, which is amazing for real bbq because you don’t NEED the sauce (even though it’s good). The atmosphere is great too! They did some beautiful renovations! My only downside is that I don’t love their green beans, but that’s a pretty small thing in light of how good everything else is!
