Makissi has a gem of a place. Authentic cuisine with amazing flavor profiles and spice! Competitive pricing to what you would find in other city settings (like NYC). Hefty portions with plenty to share and/or leftovers. Prepare to get messy and pick apart the layers of goodness! Also be prepared for the aroma to follow you. We ordered the fish and Jallof Rice. Both these and the plantains were cooked to perfection! The Egusi was made with many layers of meat. I personally would not order it again with chicken due to the natural greasyness the wing pieces produce.
