We recently visited Applebee’s and ordered a kids’ meal that included yogurt with strawberries for our 2-year-old. To our shock, we found a sharp piece of plastic inside the yogurt — something that could have caused serious harm to our child.
What made this situation even more unacceptable was the response from the staff. The manager and waitress simply offered a discount as compensation. This completely misses the point, this is a serious food safety issue, not a matter of getting a discount. We chose to pay the full bill because our concern is not about money, but about the lack of care and safety in the kitchen and the dismissive way this was handled.
We expected accountability, an apology, and assurance that steps would be taken to prevent something like this from happening again. Unfortunately, none of that was provided. This experience left us deeply disappointed and worried about the safety standards at this location.
Parents, please be cautious, if a sharp object can end up in a child’s meal, it raises serious questions about the restaurant’s cleanliness and food handling practices.

An average dining experience. The menu has plenty of options, but the food quality felt inconsistent, some dishes were tasty while others seemed bland or overcooked. Service was friendly but a bit slow, especially for drink refills. The atmosphere is casual and family-friendly, but the place could use a little more attention to cleanliness. Not bad for a quick, convenient meal, but nothing that really stands out.

Our family loves Applebee’s!! A lot of options for the whole family and a good place to just be casual and sour and have an affordable meal. We love the atmosphere here. It can get a little loud at night. The latter it gets the more noise there is. But we don’t mind. It’s just people having fun. The waiters and waitresses are mostly friendly and helpful. We’ve had a couple that were probably newer but over all nice place.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Applebee’s, largely thanks to our server, Wendy! The food was delicious, cooked to perfection, and arrived promptly. But what truly stood out was the exceptional service we received. Wendy was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Her positive attitude and genuine care made our meal even more enjoyable. I highly recommend asking for Wendy when you visit – she’s a true asset to the restaurant! Five stars all the way!

It was a busy Friday night when I came in. I was greeted at the host and asked if I could sit up at the bar, there where a couple empty seats so I sat down. I sat down and was greeted by the bartender Chloe, she said I will be right with you and I said ok that’s fine. I ended up ordering a beer and didn’t need a food menu. She is a great bartender and has a good personality.

We had such a great experience at the Applebee’s on Alpine! Our server, Alayna, was absolutely wonderful — super friendly, attentive, and made sure everything came out just right. She checked in often without being overbearing and had such a positive attitude that really made our meal enjoyable. The food was hot, fresh, and came out quickly.
