I visited this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend who lives in Jacksonville. It is definitely worth the visit!

I visited on a Tuesday for lunch with a party of 4. There was ample indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside and the atmosphere was very nice. We were sat right away and our orders taken quickly.

The hostess who seated us and our server were very friendly.

The food was delicious! There were honestly so many choices that I had difficulty making an entree decision. I could probably go back every day this week and order something different.

Give this place a try and you will definitely enjoy it!

This place is amazing in every way!!!!! During our few days in Jacksonville, we had to visit this one a few times because it was so delicious, with exceptional menu items we wanted to try, and the BEST service imaginable from Chulete! She is filled with personality and flair! Not to mention attentive service.
The decor was great surfer art, surfboards and an aquarium. They had t-shirts and hats to buy as souvenir. The “hot blonde brownie” was sinful perfection, as was my Strawberry Motito!! Truly a magical place… whether for a meal, appetizers or drinks. Also, they have some superb specials.
This is more than worth a visit if you’re in the vicinity, and worthy of making a trip to Jacksonville if your not! The BEST!

Had a few minutes to kill so I stopped at Salt Life because I saw on the menu that they serve baked oysters topped with creamed spinach, crab, parmesan and Panko.

Also, on Sundays, they have five dollar Bloody Mary’s. (and $15 bottomless mimosas)

Without a doubt, the best baked oysters I’ve ever had the pleasure of tasting. Also, the best Bloody Mary I’ve ever enjoyed. No joke! Totally Delightful!

Jaylen was a very attentive bartender. And the pretty young lady, I don’t recall her name, answered every question I had and had me wanting to order everything on the menu!

I can’t wait to come back!

Sarah (at the 9th Ave location) gave me exceptional service today. I was only in town for today and asked my hotel receptionist for recommendations for seafood… and she was spot on! I also asked Sarah for dinner recommendations and she gave me several choices. I ended up getting the shrimp/crab stuffed flounder off the holiday menu and it was awesome! I loved the vegetables!!! Squash, zucchini, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, etc. Everything was so good. (Including the IPA she recommended)

I will definitely return next time I am in town again!

Thanks Sarah… you really made my evening!!!

Winter specials and pic of the Shrimp/Scallop with chorizo special. Definitely try it, it’s very filling and you will leave happy. The side of veggies are also fresh, delicious and healthy.

It’s kind of like going to a hooters. I thought this would be a good place to take my family. the seafood boil came out cold. The spices in it are kinda weird too. The tacos were not bad, oysters were fresh. The kids liked the burgers and shrimp. Probably wouldn’t come back… don’t need to go out to eat to see pretty women .

The service at the Salt Life Food Shack, was very friendly and efficient. The restaurant decor was as expected and provided a very nice atmosphere. Food was reasonably priced. The seafood boil was a decent portion, there was no sausage in the boil, which could have explained the bland taste. The other dishes were spot on.

Love the vibe! First time eating here, Chloe was a great server, very pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu, meals were between $15-30 a person, food was tasty, bathrooms were clean, will go again if in the area, couple blocks from the beach

Had dinner here last weekend and was pleasantly surprised. The shrimp scampi was cooked just right, not overdone, and the garlic butter sauce had a nice flavor. The clam chowder was creamy and had a good balance of seasoning. Service was friendly, though it took a little longer than I expected for the food to come out. The ambiance is casual and relaxed, which made it a nice spot to unwind. Prices seemed fair for the portion sizes. Overall, it’s a solid spot if you’re in the mood for seafood—might come back to try some of the other dishes next time.
