Country Road Cravings
We stopped here for brunch on Sunday morning after Valentine’s Day. We were one of the first people in the door and there was a crowd waiting so I had high hopes for this establishment.
Our server was very friendly and I enjoyed the atmosphere, they had good 90’s country playing:)
I ordered the ham Benedict and my husband had the burger and fries. We also ordered the French toast filled with lemon cream cheese and topped with blueberries.
My food was very tasty but a bit cold. I suspect because it was prepared and then held while the burger finished cooking. My husband said the burger was very good, as were the fresh cut fries. I loved the potatoes, and French toast was delicious. I would definitely love to come here for dinner sometime when I am in the area again.

We LOVE Christopher Eats! My girls are extremely picky eaters, but they always eat very, very well at this restaurant. In fact, they asked to go there for their birthday dinners in the past. They have the best desserts! Everyone is always so nice! We have never had a negative experience here. My ONLY “complaint” is that I wish they would bring their bruschetta back. My family was obsessed with it!

My family found this place at the last minute while looking for a place to eat in Huntington WV area and thank God it never disappoints us. The food we had is excellent. We had the 8oz sirloin and Blackened Yellowfin Tuna with a side of shaved Brussels sprouts, collard greens, Caesar salad which is phenomenal and exceptional, mac n cheese, onion rings and chicken sandwich. Desserts are fantastic we had seasonal dessert (key lime pie) and I had Italian Lemon cream cake which is to die for.
Please do visit this place on your way for dinner if you are stopping by. You will never disappoint.

As an “out of towner” who is checking out the “local” eats instead of big chains, I was not impressed here. I’ll say our waitress was friendly, and our drinks never got empty because she sat a fancy glass bottle of our drink, on our table, so that we could refill our drinks. It was just my husband and I. Our appetizer came out quickly (spinach artichoke dip) and it was delicious. The chips had a seasoning on them that were really delicious. Our food took forever to come out though. They weren’t busy, so it was confusing. We ordered a chicken sandwich and a burger. The restaurant is located in a corner of a little strip mall, the ambiance is low lighting with little candles on your table. They had a beautiful Christmas tree in the main area downstairs. Overall, it was good but not somewhere I’d make sure to tell people to rush to if they’re In the area.

We tried this restaurant recently and found that it checked off all the right points…..easy parking, inside we were greeted and seated quickly, had a very friendly server with excellent recommendations, and most delicious food at a nice price. Portions were good, too! The Missus had the glazed salmon with truffle fries and most tasty real mashed potatoes. I had the three piece cod fish with the truffle fries, and I had to sample the Mac n Cheese, also. For all you afficionado’s of this dish, you’ve got to try this one! It’s made different, and Mmmmm…. so good! I washed it all down with a flavored Porter beer. They have a nice selection of beers, wines, and drinks.
We noticed that there is a giant “family table” available in the main dining room. Prices were excellent and not too expensive.
Overall, this was a very good dining experience, and we will be back. I highly recommend it for lunch or dinner.
If you’re traveling on Rt 64, simply look at Christophers’ Eats restaurant online as it’s not too far off the Barboursville exit. It’s worth the stop.

Couldn’t have been happier with the recommendation to dine at Christopher’s Eats! We enjoyed the cocktails and atmosphere for a great evening out. We agreed the sriracha honey fried chicken and meatloaf were the best we’ve had. We had the pleasure to meet Chef Chris. He is an awesome guy. Look forward to dining there again!

First impressions are the most lasting impressions. The hostess that seated my wife and I walked us to a table, tapped the table and kept walking. The gesture that she made wasn’t enough to indicate that it was our table and my wife continued to follow her to the kitchen where my wife proceeded to ask her “where are we supposed to sit?” We received a sigh and eye roll as she walked back to the table she had tapped along the way.
The waiter was at our table very frequently as we were trying to look at the menu as if he was in a hurry to flip the table though the place was fairly empty.
The food itself was mid at best. Sides were excellent but the steaks were dry and flavorless. The app, pulled pork nachos were about a 3 out of 5.
Overall not worth the money.

Our table got the pimento cheese fries and they were incredible! For my main meal, I had the fish and chips and it was delicious

I’m going to be critical only because the food was definitely very good and you can tell the place strives to be the best it can. First off, great job on the menu. There are various different items to choose from, so there’s nothing to pigeon hole yourself into from a creative aspect. The service was prompt when we got there. Atmosphere was lively without being too much.
With that said, a few things that did stick out. I ordered a bourbon a few minutes after we ordered our non-alcoholic drinks. It never came. She acknowledged me when I ordered it, so I know she heard me properly. Then, we didn’t see her for over 10 minutes. By that time, our food came (which was prompt and timely), and I felt like I was beyond the window for wanting that beverage to drink.
Also… the presentation on the plate. I know this is just getting nitpicky, but everything was crowded towards the center of the plate and sort of all over each other. Saying that, the sweet potato mash is . Everyone should order that, because it’s just that good.
We will come back. This was our 15th Anniversary, so we wanted to go somewhere special and I’m glad we chose Christopher’s. I hope others do too.

Excellent fresh food. I recommend the black bean and corn burger to eat and a Cherry Picker cocktail before the meal, a draft beer with the meal. For dessert, get the Italian Lemon Cake. They are part of the West Virginia Office of Tourism’s Culinary Trail.
The restrooms are interesting. Men’s and Women’s toilets are in separate rooms but they share a common area where the sinks are. Toilets are not ADA Accessible.
