At first everything seemed fine: we were seated quickly at a large table, and our server Jacob came to introduce himself. However, the rest of the experience was far from what we are used to.
First, the steaks we ordered medium-well were not cooked to that temperature at all.
Second, the loaded baked potato was not hot enough — even the cheese on top did not melt.
The lava cake we received for dessert was also cold, and the ice cream on top did not melt either, which clearly shows it was not served at the right temperature.
We understand that kitchens can have good days and bad days, and we could accept that. But what truly upset us was the behavior of our server. At some point he simply stopped paying attention to our table. And when he did come by, it felt like he was visibly unhappy with us and wanted us to leave as soon as possible. The restaurant was not busy — there were plenty of empty tables, and the parking lot was almost empty — so it’s not clear why we were treated this way.
This was the worst experience we’ve ever had at LongHorn. It is disappointing because we truly love this restaurant, and it has always been a pleasant place for our family.
We sincerely hope that management will take this feedback into consideration. We would like to continue being regular guests, but today’s service left a very negative impression.
On the last occasion, I decided to have a nice steak, it was served with a side salad, nice bread, a baked potato and cooked to perfection. As I finished, the Manager stopped by to say good afternoon and inquire about my meal . I gave him thumbs up!!!
My cat loved me when I got home he really likes a doggy bag!!!
When our order arrived, we had to unexpectedly leave. We each had ordered an entree and 2 sides…so I requested 2 large to go plates. Because they are divided and the food doesn’t get all mixed together . A waitess brought 2 small ones and I again asked if she could please bring 2 large ones. She said she had to ask permission from her manager as those were to be saved for to go orders only. I said ok, would she ask please. The manager came to my table within a minute or 2, with his eyebrows raised. I Said hi and that I had requested 2 large to go containers. He pointed at the small container on the table amd Said ” but you have a to go container right there” and walked away. That was very rude, and is very poor service….i spent 45 dollars on lunch and I can’t have a carryout plate? That is ridiculous. I had to request additional small containers to take our food with us…..ended up taking 6 containers out with us. I have never left a bad review anywhere, but this guy deserves it.
