Ben’s has been a go-to spot for our sandwiches, tamales, and pizza for years! This time when I ordered. I decided to try something different…a shrimp plate… How disappointed I was with this plate as a local restaurant that serves the parish on a daily I would have thought they would get their shrimp fresh locally! Guess I was wrong! The plate was terrible the shrimp were like brine shrimp(not even bait shrimp!) I would hope that if someone orders a shrimp po boy this isn’t the shrimp they are served!

Service is usually good and so is food but got completely ripped off of fries on an almost 60 dollar family takeout. Asked for no lettuce and tomato (their version of a salad) and no bread, just fries and chicken and the amount of fries with chicken is insane. 15 dollars each for that is just sad.

We came to Ben’s #2, today, after a winning baseball game. We filled the whole place and they served us quickly and courteously. The food was delicious. Not one boo boo, everyone got what they ordered! Thank you Ben’s #2!

Whenever I visit my hometown I stop here for a bite. Service is always super friendly. Food I am sorry to say, is not always 5 star. With my most recent trip, the pizza was great but the tamales were not great. Some of them were burnt and some had some hard bits. They still were good enough to fill me up. Will I return, you bet.

Just had a half of muffuletta from Ben’s Meraux—this is the second time I’ve had a muffuletta with very little meat and a thin slice of cheese what’s up Ben’s ? You can call it a thick ham with olive salad… cause that’s what it is.
I think I’m done with Ben’s Meraux….its a shame because I’ve eaten here for years.

My girls and I finally made it to Ben’s Pizza. We would pass by every weekend and never get a chance to stop. So today we did. Everything was really good. The staff was so nice. Definitely coming back.

This place has the BEST tamales I’ve ever had. I live in Mississippi and drive an hour and a half just to get a couple dozen. They can’t be beat. They’re spicy, savory, juicy, omg my mouth is watering just thinking about them. If this location doesn’t have them, the other one will!! Try them!!!!!
