Eaten there Four times. Food was excellent those times. The last meal eaten there had a long black hair in my fried rice chicken bowl. Still waiting for the manager to call. That is why the one star rating.

I’m a regular at the other one and couldn’t wait for this one to open. Food is amazing and service is wonderful but the music is a no for me. I can’t enjoy my hibachi with someone singing about being washed by the blood of Jesus in the background, and it’s kinda loud. Don’t get me wrong I love Jesus but Christian music is not my jam.

My husband is on a gluten free diet and of course its really tough to go to restaurants but our waitress was super helpful and she looked at the ingredients for us and had the chef left out the ingredients with wheat for him. Everything was delicious and we will definitely be back!

Our party of four enjoyed a very nice dinner here. The service was good and the food was great. The place was full on a Saturday night. I will return for another meal.

Disappointed.
I’ve had food a couple of times from they’re food trucks, and it was amazing.

My wife and I decided to go to the 1st Ave location for dinner last night , 9/26/25, to start off our anniversary weekend.
We got there around 7:20 pm , they were busy, so we were understanding. We ended up getting sat at a table by the bar area. We waited for 20 mins waiting to be served to be told we were sat in the wrong location. And we relocated to another table.
Which then went on to wait another 20 mins before we were even greeted by a server.
They looked annoyed, people that came in after us were severed before us as well.

When finally got served, we ordered an app and a cup of soup. Ordered our food as well with some fountain drinks, which ended up being flat.

We got the Gyoza ( the pork dumpings) , which were cold in the center, and my wife never got her soup.

Main food came out, which was the last time we saw our server. The main food was ok.

We were wanting to leave, I started feeling unwell, server would never stop, even when politely calling for them. So i got up and walked up the cashier so i could just pay and leave.
Since they never would come back to the table.
They took the soup off since it never came.
It was a terrible experience for the eating at the restaurant. Left a tip, but probably shouldn’t have.
Proceed to get sick in the bushes as soon as leaving then building.

Disappointed due to the fact the food truck was a good experience, but the actual restaurant was terrible.

Will not be returning.

My girlfriend and I had dinner at Coyle’s and started with sushi — one Iowa State roll and one Lion roll. Both were flavorful and enjoyable; we’d rate them an 8.5 out of 10. For the main course, we ordered the vegetable hibachi and the chicken and scallop hibachi. These dishes were just okay — the scallops were a bit chewy, and the rice didn’t taste quite right. The yum yum sauce helped cover some of the flaws. We’d give the hibachi a 6 out of 10. Update – Ordered pickup and service was far worse. I placed a pickup order and they told me it’d

That said, the portion sizes and prices were solid, making it a good value overall. Service was also good, however, for some reason they had Africa by Toto on loop. I’d definitely come back for the lunch special, which includes two sushi rolls with soup or salad for about $15. I’d recommend giving Coyle’s a try. Overall, I’d rate the experience an 8 out of 10.

Update – I ordered pickup and the service was not good. They said 20-25 minutes and it took 45. The server told me it’d be ready right away, but I waited at least 20 minutes watching the cook make other orders.

The food was good – we started with a sushi roll and all had hibachi. The yum yum sauce was a little thick for my liking but still had good taste. They give a very generous serving of rice so we were able to take that home and use it for stir fry the following day. The service was friendly and quick – we went early for dinner – around 5pm because we heard they get busy quick – and there were plenty of tables open. Tons of people ordering takeout. The prices were very reasonable and I have no doubt we’ll be back.

The food is always amazing and prepared quickly. The staff has been very friendly during my visits. It is a little cold in the restaurant.
Update: Still amazing, no longer cold!

My family and I have started coming every Saturday for their lunch specials. The service is always friendly and the sushi is top-notch, especially for the price. The building is an old supper club and it hasn’t changed in the last 30 years so eating there is a fun blast from the past
