Originally went to Carmelo’s for their happy hour, but they were all booked so they recommended we come here. I was expecting food and drink happy hour Like Carmelo’s, since they suggested this restaurant, however, it was only drink happy hour. The server and bartender were pretty attentive at times. But it did take a while for them to check back up on us and for us to close our check when we needed it. Ordered two drinks that were decent for the price. Also ordered their spicy calamari and was disappointed. Calamari was not crispy at all and very underseasoned. I know it’s just calamari, but I was expecting a little crunch and savor as an addition to our drinks. For their prices I most likely will not visit again.

Our first time eating here. Some of the prices are bit high for what you get. But overall prices were about the same as many similar spots. The appetizer which included calamari, shrimp, swordfish, and scallops was the star. It was unreal good. The muscles were on point as was the tortellini bolenes, which was meaty and cheesy as well. I was a bit dissapointed in the maple bourbon old fashion. Not the best I’ve had for sure. The service was outstanding! The live music was very good, and the entire place has a great vibe to it. We’ll be back.

This is a great venue to have a nice meal, watch people or watch a game. There is street parking everywhere. The service has gotten a little slow of late and the floors around the bar area looked very dirty. My wife loves their espresso martini ‘s.

We stopped in for a quick afternoon cocktail and were met by a friendly staff at this open-air restaurant. My Aperol spritz was refreshing and perfect. If my husband hadn’t ordered the RUM old fashioned, this probably would be a 5 star review. Putting it politely, he wouldn’t recommend that specific cocktail.

If you’re looking for a great environment and super accommodating staff, this is your place.

Had a nice dinner there, we had Salmon, and Chicken Milanais and finished with Tiramasu. All was very good. Our server Ashley did a great job. Nathan the manager was also very attentive and made sure all was well.
We will definitely return. If you go online you can put your name on the wait list and they text you when your table is ready

I came back again because I was passing by. The Italian-style baked bread I had last time was so delicious that I wanted to order it again this time.

The tuna tartare featured very fresh tuna, served with avocado and sauce. It was also a delightful treat with the crispy fried wonton wrappers.

PGICA/Newcomers had an event last night with about 50 people at Ortigia Cucina & Bar. It was amazing! Having a large crowd like that is not an easy task and Nathan the manager handled it all with professional fashion from start to finish. Always answering my questions promptly and positively. Our servers Nate and JJ L were on top of it all night long. They ensured our drinks were full (yes even waters!) and then our bellies were full and satisfied. Hats off to everyone who helped pull off this event. You should to try Ortigia even when temps are chilly!

I went to the restaurant for the Bada Bing Shrimp, which I had once before and found exceptional. Our server, Chay, explained that it was on the dinner menu so not available at that time. Still, she went out of her way to talk to the kitchen staff and they made an exception for me! Her service was very attentive and excellent, thank you Chay! My group all enjoyed their food, while being entertained with great music. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Band was great- Cheese Brothers (don’t understand the name unless they are from Wisconsin). The band was lively & fun!
Food was great. We had 3 people & only one of us ordered a salad. The Salad came out at the same time as his meal, which sucked. We sat for 20 mins waiting for food- which is a perfectly acceptable amount of time, but the fact that he never got his normal Caesar salad in that whole 20 mins – ridiculous. I could make 20 Caesar salads in 20 mins easily.
That should be worked on. Stress to the staff – salads/soups must go out ahead of entree- unless someone orders a Caesar as their meal. Then you would get 5 stars. Just trying to give helpful feedback from a person who waited tables back in the day for 7 years in high-school & college for school money. Good luck!

This is my go to place in Punta Gorda. I have been able to make reservations for larger parties, and they were extremely accommodating. The food was delicious [ I had the Cavatelli and meatballs and my husband had the Gnonocci Sorrentina] the drinks were decent, BUT the SERVICE was AMAZING. Thank you Jay Jay, our server.
