We ordered bullhead fish fry and lemon pepper grilled pork chop. The fish is a whole fish which tasted pretty good but the fries were saggy. Felt like they aren’t fresh. Pork chop was quite tender.

The Nu Pier is a local favorite, and for good reason. Throughout the many years I’ve gone for breakfast, it’s always been a good experience. They serve a classic diner style breakfast with eggs and home fries cooked perfectly. The bacon sometimes comes out a bit greasier than I’d like, but that may just be my unpopular opinion. The pricing has stayed consistent and cheap, and they’ve renovated the inside to give the interior a refreshing look. As for the service, the employees are efficient, with us only having to wait 10 minutes for our food. I recommend trying the Nu Pier if you’re looking for a good spot to grab some homestyle breakfast.

The food was better than when I went a few weeks ago. The atmosphere wasn’t so good as people where yelling in the bar area while watching the games.

An upstate NY spring tradition Bullhead! I believe the Nu Pier may be one of the few places that carries them. Searched with freshly cut fries. Unfortunately the fries tasted as though the oil needed to changed and waitstaff was far from welcoming and/or friendly. The bullhead were small, tender and delicious. They run daily specials and homemade soups.

Waitress was great and friendly. Management came out yelling at waitress about stocking ice behind the bar and turning on the lights in an empty bar and about making salads when waitress was working the bar and restaurant All by herself all day. Extremely in appropriate and disrespectful towards your employee.

Waitress was unwelcoming from the greeting and service very poor. Never offered condiments or more coffee. Not very busy and waited for her to take our order for awhile . Food and atmosphere were good.

A local favorite.. We eat there a lot, and in general the simple meals are the best – meatloaf, Mac and Cheese, spaghetti, fish and chips, pies, etc. When they try to get too exotic that is when they miss the mark.
Very reasonably priced good home cooking.

We pulled onto this little restaurant, and from the outside, it didn’t raise expectations. A tiny roadside diner, it seemed. Once through the doors, it was more spacious than it seemed. Service was friendly and professional. Menu had interesting options, not the usual burgers and sandwiches, though those were available too. There were quite a few daily specials on a handwritten menu sheet. Food was very, very good! Portions were generous, pricing was inexpensive. A really good place to stop for breakfast or lunch!

First, it is a diner. It has cute diner atmosphere. Good food, decent selection, great bullhead fry in season. Great breading on the fish fry, which is the ‘make-or-break’ for that dish. Desserts are also a decent size. One note- coffee is weak (Jan.2024).
