We had the Lemon Chicken and St. Louis Style Chicken Fried Rice…AMAZING! The lady verified that we wanted the lemon chicken and asked if we wanted to switch to an orange chicken or honey chicken and I’m so thankful I continued on with the Lemon Chicken. Got the sauce on the side. The chicken was crispy and delicious and the sauce was exactly the light lemon taste I was hoping for! The crab rangoon and fried rice were also on point! We’re only in town for a short visit, yet we’ll be sure to visit this place again!

Best Chinese food that I have had in KC in the last 20 years! Absolutely perfect Spring Rolls and Crab Rangoon, a perfect start to delicious carry-out. Have ordered multiple times in the last year and every meal has been cooked to order. Two of our favorite entrees are Sesame Chicken and Vegetable Egg Foo Young. The chicken is tender and served in a sweet/savory sauce with choice of white or fried rice. The Vegetable Egg Foo Young is a combination of fresh veggies fried together and served with a gravy and choice of white or fried rice. Both are equally amazing and serve multiple people. The price point is comfortable and can usually get a couple of good meals out of an entree. Can honestly recommend China Star to everyone!

I got combination fried rice from here and my meat (chicken and beef) were not cooked. They were gummy and chewy texture. I informed the lady at the counter and asked if they could cook it longer and was basically told to eat the uncooked meat and get over it. I can’t even pull the meat apart with my hands. Do not recommend!

Literally did the complete opposite of my order then when I called to basically get it fix I was today I had to wait for another day to get it she wouldn’t take my name or number just said she’ll remember me but mind you we’re talking over the phone so how will you remember me. Just weird wouldn’t waste my money on this place

Today we ordered from here, and got a Mongolian chicken meal. The chicken came very dry, with little to no flavor. There was only a few pieces of chicken here and there, otherwise it was all onion. When we received the bag of our food, there was soy sauce packets spilt everywhere covering our containers and boxes of food. For close to a 40 dollar meal with delivery, I would expect a little better of a meal and to have a somewhat clean experience once handed the food.
