Authentic halal Bosnian food in Astoria. It’s been a part of the neighborhood for many years. The restaurant is good size with several tables for indoor seating. There is nice authentic wall decor and feel to the space, making it seem casual and homely. We ordered the Spinach Burek, Chicken Kebab, and Mixed Meats. Food was delicious! The roasted red pepper side that comes with the entrees adds a lot of additinal flavor to the experience, we even asked for extras. Service was great and pricing was reasonable.

Delicious food! It was out first time trying Bosnian food and it was delicious. The meat platter was a good way to try all the different styles of meat, but next time we’ll still with just one meat platter instead. The stuffed cabbage rolls were my favorite! The ladies working there were super nice!

Delicious delicious food, really chill atmosphere and friendly service. It was or first time having serbian food, so we asked for recommendations and it was spot on. Recommend the sarma (cabbage rolls), cevapi (meat sausages) and the spinach&cheese burek. Note that it’s a small place (there’s 5 tables), so there might be a bit of a wait. Also, they sell their typical sauce (delicious!). Will definitely come back

Great meal, great prices. The spinach borek was perfectly crispy and flakey.
The assorted meat platter was extremely filling and provided a nice introduction into Bosnian food.
The staff was super sweet and welcoming. Loved the experience!

Extremely delicious food! We had cevapcici with Kajmak and Ajvar as well as a potatoe pita. The homemade yoghurt was also great! It all tasted just like in Bosnias capital Sarajevo. The waitress and all of the workers were so polite and friendly. Would definitely recommend everybody to come here. It’s definitely a hidden gem!

Great spinach pie and sausages. Went here in a early Sunday evening and plenty of seating. Ordered at the counter and the lady helped with good suggestions.

My first experience with Bosnian food as a Brooklyn native. This restaurant is a treasure. Lots of wonderful options and very hearty and affordable dishes. I particularly enjoyed the spinach bureks, which the waitress recommended on the basis of how much meat was in our order. We were taken great care of and not rushed. The decor in the restaurant is also wonderful and soothing. Would recommend to anybody who wants to try something unique and authentic!

I’m leaving this review for them to do better because as I’m a Turkish and lover of Bosnia and Bosnian food I want them to do better. Food was good however the lady who has black hair was a bit rude and I even went out of my way to be super kind and nice. Unfortunately she didn’t serve us well. She brought cevapi and dropped the onions which can happen but she said she ll clean and bring us new one she never did. She brought me yogurt in a cartoon cup and she brought yogurt in glass for other tables. Also our palacinka didnt have cream or she just didn’t care to put it on. I understand that we are all human and we may have days that we don’t feel bad. I hope owner will notice this will give his workers off day when they don’t feel well.
Hvala puno.
